No, I do not find my lawyer very helpful.
My husband does not have his own I140. I am assuming my 485 is to be approved soon because I had LUD around the dates I got the e-mails for him.
We will see. I will post an update if I hear something about my application
Good luck to you!
On Jan 11 my husband received a card ordered e- mail and on Jan 15 an approval notice e-mail. He is the dependent and I am the primary.
Our details are as follows:

RD 485 - 7/14/2004 VSC
12/2006 transfered to NSC

I already have an AP that expires July 2008.
How will a new AP help me? Do I have to inform USCIS that I will be residing outside US for extended period of time?
I will appreciate if anybody can provide an insight to my dilemma:
My I485 is pending since July 2004. I have been through 4AP and 4 EAD.
I got a very tempting job offer overseas and I am considering all the pro and cons.
Will I be safe to leave US while my I485 is pending provided I can get...
AGC4Me,
Congratulations for winning the fight!
Did the court rule in your benefit?
I filed a law suit at the end of May. US Attorney filed MOD, I responed back last month and have not heard back since.
I think your wife is out of status the moment your GC got approved.
You can no lnoger filed her GC application based on your PD.
She has to get her own PD under family based category 2A(spouse and son of permenet residents) by filing I-130. The latest VB was showing June 2002 for this...
Go to the website of your senator and see if there is an online form you can fill out. Then call the office in a few days to make sure they got your request
One can not have a non immigrant and an immigrant (AOS) status at the same time. The moment you file for AOS you loose your non immigrant status.
You can, if you wish, maintain your H1B, because it contains immigrant intent
You should not be making too much out of these letters.
My case was transferred from VSC to NSC in Dec 2006 after my PD became current. I got a letter from VSC stating that the preliminary review had been completed and my case had been transferred to NSC for scheduling of an interview. ( I live...
I am in a similar situation. I added my husband as a derivative last December. On Dec 26, 06 I got a letter from VSC stating that my case has been transferred to NSC for scheduling of an interview. I am in Philadelphia and I do not think my case has been transferred to Philadelphia yet. It is...
I am moving pretty much every year and have had no prolems. I485 pending since 2004. Just make sure you call USCIS and submit the address change form within 10 days after you move out
I hope the ND gets carried over
My 485 was transferred from VSC to NSC on 12/26/06. The VSC ND is 7/14/04.
I got a letter from NSC informing me about the transfer and a letter from VSC stating that the review of my application has been COMPLETED and transferred to NSC for an interview...
The new AP does not invalidate the old one. However I read somewhere that once you enter on AP, your H1B is invalid and you should use your EAD to work. I am not very familiar with this situation because I did not extand my H1B after I got EAD. You may want to check with a lawyer or someone who...
This is one of the advantages of EAD vs H1B. With H1B you can hold only one job unless the part time employer sponsors you for a second H1B. With EAD you can have as many jobs as you would like.
I do not believe the AP has a renewal date. It has only an experation date. If you enter the country before your previous AP expires you should have no problems presening the old AP at POE. If you are to enter the country after your previous AP has expired maybe someone here can get your new AP...
Why Nebraska?!
My PD became current on 12/1/06 (EB3 ROW). I just received an e-mail from USCIS stating that my case was transferred from VSC to NSC for a scheduling of a standard interview.
I live in Philadelphia. Does it mean that I have to travel to Nebraska for an interveiw?!
Do you know why VSC cases get transferred to NSC?
I just filed with VSC the I485, I131 and I 765 for my husband and all the notices came from NSC.
Thanks
Am I current?
I am ROW EB3, with PD July 1, 2002.
Does it mean that I am current with the Nov bulletin or I have to wait for the next one? One day can make such a huge difference.
