Asylee N-400 Interview Experiences and 2009 Tracker

I don't think they object to international travel - but they ask for the list of countries to ascertain whether or not you've been back to the COP. For example, visiting a neighboring country may cause a red flag to go up since it is easy for someone to sneak across the border to their COP. So...

I see why most people don't even bother responding to topics, you did not answer an important question which was on the approval letter that states "you have been granted asylum status in the united states pursuant to 208(A) of the INA as of ??/??/????" what date did they put?? The date on the...

    Interesting!

.....marriage date is after 3 days of I-94 stamp!! but decision was picked up after 11 days of marriage...that was the appointment date given by AO to pick up the decision. Does rebuttal to NOID produce any good output?

    Interesting!

yes...but i think i-94 has nothing to with the applicant.... ..Applicant was granted asylum...after the marriage... ...usually stamp in i-94 is the date when officer decides the case...and that is not the date of asylum granted (i think).

Quick Notice for a second interview

As per my understanding, they are allowed to do anything legal to decide your case. So that should not be taken as abnormal. I've heard many people who've been interviewed twice, especially in the time when they go to get their decision. I would wait and go along with attorney. At least...

I am no Terrorist, any advice?

!! Things are getting interesting about the material support. If some persecutor forcefully takes away something with the victim (let's say watch, mobile phone, wallet, money, etc). Do these immigration guys ....define that scenario as a material support ??

    Traveling to India

As per your conversation, what i understood is: you didn't fear with your government, may be with some other group in your country. I think renewing your passport or using it should not have any impact in your case. And you are a derivative anyway, so why worry?

    Service Request

Its ok to file service request(if you would have done that they would ask you some information about you and your case(very brief) and email or call you telling about the case). At least you will know the what's happening to your file, they won't tell you anything specific though. In the mean...

    asylum interview interperter?

jonny1, preparer cannot be an interpreter for the same applicant. And its very hard to convince the officer in your friends' case that you didn't help her preparing the application. I believe you can interpret for her but convincing the officer is difficult. if I were you, i would find somebody...

    Interview for Derivative Asylum
