Asylee's parents are applying for a US visa

Hello everyone! :)
I'm an A6 category green-card holder (meaning a former asylee), who haven't seen his parents for many years. Thus I thought to try to have my parent over, so we'd meet each other and they'd see the states.

The question is about the interview process. What should my parents answer, if a consul would ask about my GC and the way I got it through?
Parents know about me being on asylum but they have never been familiar with the case itself (I never told them for personal reasons).

Have any of you (ex-asylees) ever had your parents coming to the USA?

Any experiences, thoughts, advises would be appreciated!
Thank you!

I actually saw my parents after 13 years last year. Suprisingly, my parents got the visit visa with not too much questioning. All the were asked was the reason of the visit and that was pretty much about it. No problems at JFK also. They were given six months on the I-94.

My grandparents visited in 2006, and I think they didn't have any problems getting a visa or entering the country.

My mother got a two year visa... they only asked what status does my sister have (coz she's the one who sent invitation)... answer was green card... that is all :D
Have a wonderful time with your parents :D

My mother came in 2008 and returned after 4 months. Consular however asked her that did she fear with the situation in her country, like the way i fear. She told no, and that's it.

I think a lot will depend on the status of your parents. If the consular officer is convinced that your parents have intention of asking for asylum in the US, then they should have smooth interview. If he/she believes your parents are a risk, then interview would be tough. And a lot of factors figure into whether someone is a potential asylum-seeker or a geniune visitor. Among the country your parents are coming from, their education level, assents, money in bank accounts etc....If your parents have assets, money in their account, and coming a stable country, the US does not care. Even you can invate friends if they are wealthy. The trick is if your parents are poor and are coming from an unstable country.

Thanks a lot to everyone!
Both of my parent got their visas a few days ago.

Expecting to see them this summer.
