Congrats aryabot. What is your RD/ND ? Are you sure it is EB3? Coz EB3 India priority date is not current yet. If it is EB3 then it is a good news for us.
cholan77, sorry to hear about your mom's visa rejection. I have read in this forum that some one in similar situation like you had approached congress man / senator. He was able to explain and convince them about the whole situation and got a letter from them to produce in next visa interview...
Thanks saras76 for your input. Your logic make sense. I also agreee that I have missed RIR and NON-RIR categories. But I am wondering why not only my RIR case of PD July 2001 but also other RIR cases during that period took a long time (almost 3 years) for approval. I recall RIR cases were...
Why we all think that most 245(i) cases filed within April 2001 are not approved, pending in backlog elemination center? If July 2001 (me) and Aug 2001(your) cases are approved then why not April 2001? My understanding is that PD date is retrogrssed because 140/485 filed of PD April 2001 245(i)...
Transit visa not required at Amsterdam. Last June 2005 it was not required when I had gone and I think it is not required now also. However you can check this link to find if a transit visa is required.

So they are looking at applications with labour cert submitted on 22 APR 01?
--> They will approve 485 whose labour cert submitted on on before 22 APR 01 .

--> No one can predict.
Is it true for European countries?
--> Yes.
I have read some where that counting to 90 days stopped when a RFE is issued. It begins when RFE is recived by USCIS. Means time between RFE issued and received are not counted towards 90 days. You may check with your attorney.
Usually USCIS mails actual plastic card (green card) after completion of biometric. You do not need to stamp you passport unless it is required travel outside USA before getting the actual plastic card (green card).
That is correct. You have to have all the copies with you when traveling overseas. You need to give 3 copies of Advance Perole to the officer at port of entry to USA. They will keep one and return two for future use.
Dec 2004 filing of I-140 in vermont service center is outside of processing time. check the below link.
