I recently received 3 copies of the Advance Perole and I wonder if I have to have all the copies with me when traveling overseas.

How to use AP


HI,
I am also in simillar situation. If anyone can tell us your experience on using AP, really appreciate it.
Do you have to submit I-94 and one copy AP while departing?
Do we have to inform anyone in INS that we are leaving country and inform again after arriving US?
Which papers we may have to show at port of entry while returning back. Just AP is sufficient?
We have to board two planes to come to US. Where else we have to give AP copy in addition to at port of entry?

That is correct. You have to have all the copies with you when traveling overseas. You need to give 3 copies of Advance Perole to the officer at port of entry to USA. They will keep one and return two for future use.

I just came in Nov 2005 from India. In Chicago, I only gave one copy. he took photocopy after stamp and return to me. You do not need to inform anyone to go out of USA and come back. Just keep extra photo copy of AP in hand if someone need copy of AP.
