As long as previous company's H1 is valid, you can always go back. JP

When did you get your H1? As far as I know your H1 is not valid if you have entered on H4 visa. You will have to go out of country and get your H1 stamp to start working. JP

I am not sure about the voting thing, but I did receive Jury duty letter though I am on H1 visa. you just have to send them back with stating you are not a US Citizen. cheers...
