H4 to h1 confusion - urgent help needed!

Hi,

I am on a valid H4 in US and had filed for H1 which got approved and is valid till 2008.

But I never worked since my H1 approval. In the mean time I went to India for 11 months and re-entered on same H4.

My questions are:

1. Can I start working on the same H1 which is still valid?
2. Do I have to go out of country and get it stamped before I can start working?
3. Before I start working, if my husband changes job, should my H4 also be transfered? does it impact on my H1 validity?

When did you get your H1? As far as I know your H1 is not valid if you have entered on H4 visa. You will have to go out of country and get your H1 stamp to start working.
