Effect of B visa rejection on future F1 or H1 visa

Hi All,

My brother is in 1st yr of engineering and I am planning to bring him here on visitor's visa for a month or two. I know there are more chance of visa rejection, but my main concern is if it gets rejected then what effect it will have in his future F1 or H1 visa? Anyone has been through this situation before, then pls comment.

A B-2 rejection shouldn't neccessarily effect an applican't F-1 or H-1B chances. However the applicant will need to overcome the same 214(b) clause when applying for a F-1. For an H-1B visa, this does not hold.
