Thats not correct. Only for the first time EAD & AP fees are included in 485 fees. For renewals they've to pay fees every year.

Paper filing is faster For EAD renewal paper filing FP not needed. It took 40 days for me.

Provided the job is full time and they are ready to give you an EVL mentioning permanent employee in case of RFE.

Once you use EAD your H1 even if it is valid (but not working for the sponsor) is toast.
