    TN visa Engineering Category

My understanding is that CBP will not even look at education from a non-North American institute, unless it's been evaluated by one of the companies authorized to do that. (Like getting a certified copy of a translated document). Have you done the evaluation? Once you have that evaluation...

TN Extension via USCIS...Any one received RFE's ?

Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but I will say your worry is a big reason I recommend people do their applications at the border. You get processed immediately by a live person. even if your application is deficient, you can leave & come back same day with things corrected.

    TN Visa renewal

5 months before, the officers will definitely tell you to go away and come back right before old TN expires / desires start date of new TN. At San Ysidro I tried 2 weeks in advance, they told me it was too early & come back 3 days before. Other ports / other officers may tolerate up to 2...

How many TNs can one get ?

Sometimes TNs are approved for only 1 year. Officers have discretion. Sometimes people change jobs sooner than 3 years.

    Resume needed for TN Engineer

And yet I've had a border officer ask to see my resume when making a TN application. In such a situation, why not provide it? Responding with "No I only show my resume to my prospective employers" seems pointlessly antagonistic.

    Resume needed for TN Engineer

Resume might be helpful on your first TN, but after that it tends to be ignored. If you are qualifying via associate's degree + 3 years experience, then I'd definitely bring your resume.

TN visa at US mex border, changing jobs

Sorry to hear your experience. Clearly a mistake by the officer. Canadians are allowed to apply for TNs at any POE, entering from any country. I have obtained TNs entering from Canada, Mexico, Barbados, and Japan.

    'Wet signature' for TN letter

I haven't had a wet signature support letter in 6+ years. Probably shouldn't be an issue. I believe border officers are coming around to the fact that documents can be emailed.

    TN Visa Refusal

Ditto to Nelson. It seems likely you would anger the port officer if your job offer from the same employer magically changes job category.

    TN denied

It might seem that way but in practice, border officers never ask about property ownership and if they did, it would not be a disqualifier. Plenty of people own property for 1-2 years

Incorrect I94 expiration entered at the airport

It's possible to do. I once went back to the POE and had the agents update my I-94 expiry date. (I think they actually issued a new I-94). I was nervous about challenging them so I went when I knew it was a quiet time and also when I knew the original officer was there (to avoid any suspicion...

Remote work and state of residence

    1. Make sure to alert your employer if you plan to move. Other states have big tax implications. But your TN is fine. 2. There is no requirement for you to work in the USA on your TN. It is a permission.

    TN denied

BTW the salary comments from the officer were irrelevant and inappropriate. It leads me to believe he was less experienced/less trained on TNs. In such a spot I would feel comfortable saying I think he has made a mistake and I would like to to ask the port supervisor to double-check.

    TN denied

congrats but your last post is confusing. You said you were approved for the TN, but saying you qualified via experience is a mistake?

    is TN considered visa sponsorship

The question I'd have to answer "no" to is: "Are you currently authorized to work in the USA for any employer?"

    is TN considered visa sponsorship

I generally answer "yes" to both. Keep in mind you're applying for a job with a private company. This is a screening process so you want to avoid the pitfalls that will get you screened out prematurely. It's better to err on the side of "iffy" that increases your chances of going deep into...

Feeling stressed: TN-1 denied, applying as Engineer (with B.Sc) now

It would be disrespectful to the sponsor of this forum to advertise competing lawyers openly. For those who are on the west coast, I enthusiastically recommend my lawyer who's based in Blaine & deals with that POE daily. PM me for contact info.

    My Tn visa scenario

Software QA jobs are arguably the most ideal fit for the CSA job category. You're in a very good spot to get TN approved. I was in exactly your situation 10 years ago. PM me if you'd like a copy of my recent support letter. You MUST write a unique support letter for every company & position...

Change TN within the US online or by mail

Without knowing your personal situation, I'd like to remind you that applying in person is faster, cheaper, and gives you the ability to react immediately to any negative opinions from CBP. As others have explained, it's possible & normal to retain your existing TN status regardless of how your...

    Time limitation for TN work

What choice do you have? There's always a risk of being denied when approval is up to an individual officer. But your situation is what it is, you can't change it without moving back to Canada and re-establishing ties which would be a rather extreme pre-emptive action. TN is by definition...
