90 day rule
Hi Milk:
Can you please point me some references in the USCIS site with regard to this 90 day rule? My question is not regarding the 4 yr 9 months vs. 90 day before 5years.
I want to know where in the site it says it is ok to apply before the 5 year period. I dont see a...
Stay outside US..
I got my GC aug 2004 and my 4 year 9 months time line just crossed today. I am not able to find any doc in the USCIS site regarding the fact that I can file 90 days before I complete the 5 years. (based on a cursory search - but the application form instructions didnt say...
B2 extension denial
Sangihari and Vkolli:
The first time your folks' extension got rejected, did they stay beyond their original authorized dates? For eg., when the original port of entry stamp is for 6 months, I am assuming that you applied for their extension BEFORE the 6 th month period...
Date on GC does not match with approval date
My 485 approval date do not match with the date on my card. I spoke with my company (one of the big corporates in bay area) attorney and was told not to worry about it. This thing happens quite often and no action is required from our side.
Hello Dhari1:
Can you please let us know what kinda questions were asked during the interview the second time and how long did the interview last? I am asking these questions to prepare my in-laws for the second interview.
Thanks for your time
Hello Immidude74:
I would think you should mention about your previous affidavit. Please do not forgot to share with us the experiences at the consulate the second time and my best wishes on the interview.
Thanks,
I went to the SJC Montery road csc at 6.30 in the morning. Was about 100 th in the line. Saw flag hoisting at 6.45. Was in by 8.30. Got stamping done by 11.45.
Man, it was damn slow. The guard told that the speedy officer was off today and thats the reason why things were slow. He also told...
I just have my ( and my wives') last AP and EAD. I plan to go for stamping tomorrow. Do you think it will be a problem, if I dont carry my other APs and EAD's (I have misplaced them somewhere)
I am sorry to hear about your MIL's rejection. Her case seem to be straightforward and clear.
I am in a similar boat (both my in-law's visa got rejected last month). Not sure whether Chennai consulate is following a quota or something like that. Things seem to be extremely random..
Good luck
I just got the email from USCIS. 485 approved for me and spouse.
ND/PD: 04/2002
2 FPs (2 nd FP on 07/20), 3 EADs and 2 APs
and the wait is over. This forum has been extremely useful. Good Luck to all of you guys.
In Chennai, the current dates are in the middle of September for apointments. It used to be october/nov some time back, but looks like lot of people cancelled their apointments
Well said waitintoo_long!
If this is true, these guys need to be sued for what they are doing. I cant imagine they treat (elderly) people like dirt and do such a rip-off.
I think (and hope) the statement was told in a different context. My in-laws' plan to go late sep. to the embassy again..
