I wouldn't worry much. I think folks at the passport office would record it from your original naturalization certificate that you sent along with the passport application.

Yes, it is your's forever. It is there on your naturalization certificate labeled as "CIS Registration Number".

Finally I received my oath notification today and it is scheduled for Nov 4th at 1:00 PM. The letter was mailed from Nebraska and the oath venue is Exposition Hall in Indianapolis. :) :) :)

Yes, you need to submit the original along with the passport application. Once the application is processed your original naturalization certificate will be returned along with your new US passport.

No need to do the above either. My wife and I didn't do it and neither all my friends who were naturalized recently.
