It's not written anywhere, just as the previous rule. I saw someone post in this message board and when I applied I got my EAD with start dates from the end-date of my old EAD. HTH

I got the pics from CVS - Passport photos and used for EAD/AP with no problems. All approved!

It is good to renew soon, the new policy of USCIS is to issue EAD's with start dates from the End Date of your old EAD. :D Which means you will NOT loose any days/months as was previously. So better to apply soon. I applied 3 months before the expiry and got it in about 3/4 weeks - but...

One more thing, my EAD got approved with start dates from my old EAD expiry date. This is NICE, since previously I used to loose 2/3 months on my EAD/AP. Atleast we can now save some money and time on this new and sensible rule from USCIS. Good Luck all.

This is only a guess, but I would still call USCIS and ask them whether it is ok to travel with a name misprint. Since you say that your middle name has an extra initial, it might not be a problem usually you are tracked by your Last name and then first name, but please check with USCIS...

Applied Paper based EAD with ND 11/9/06 and AP a week later. Both are approved and I received the CARD and AP papers yesterday and today. @ Vermont Service Center. This is my 4th time. Good Luck All. Just a Tip: I found the Paper based filing much easier and faster :D

I had a similar issue, of the new company not able to provide an exact Job Description, I finally decided not to file AC 21. Since this is not required, but something we can do. I did talk to 2/3 lawyers and they all suggested that it is ok not to file AC 21. Its up to you. das

Its every Center Its just not NSC that does this, all service centers issue EAD/AP's not from the day of expiry of the previous cards but when they process it. If you see it from a financial angle, it makes a lot of sense for INS to do this, imagine thousands of people spending $500-1000 on...
