Thanks for your suggestion. I took infopass appointment and got our passports stamped with I-551. Initially the officer said she would give validity for 90 days only but somehow she gave it for 6 months saying that we should get cards much before that...

Samething here. Approved on 8/16. After approval went for FP code3 and message changed to "On March 2, 2007, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our TEXAS SERVICE CENTER location for processing and ..." on 09/03. Still waiting for Card...

I got "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident" email for myself (applicant) and "Approval notice sent" emails for my wife and daughter on 8/17. Message says applications were approved on 8/16. Not received the approval notice yet.
