DV 2025 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

Could it also be a mailed response to my 'outside of normal processing time' request? They responded to me by email today, though.

Start by following-up with USPS to let them know no such mail was delivered as claimed.

I'm so confused.

I received a response (through email) to my inquiry stating that there is a high volume of applications and that my case is awaiting review. Pretty standard.

Then I saw that there are 2 letters coming in from USCIS. However, I just chated with an agent and she told me that no mails were sent to me by them and there are no updates. What's going on?

I'm starting to think it is just a written respond to my inquiry. But why would one of the letters be addressed to my wife when I was the one who submitted the inquiry using my case number?

Most FOs and IOs do not update the online status when the interview gets scheduled or the IL gets sent for DV based AOS applications, which in essence means both the phone and online agents are unable to tell when the IL gets sent (as they do not see a status update online). So the response you got is "normal" based on the above explanation.

Cool. So there's still a chance they might be the ILs?... Now I need to deal with USPS.

How did you get notified it was delivered? Was it sent with tracking? Because as far as I am concerned, it doesn’t show regular mail as delivered or not, it just gives you the day it’s supposed to arrive. Also on a side note, it’s possible that regular mail is a day or so late while it indicates „today“ in USPS.

Not sure if you remember but I had a similar occurrence with the biometrics letters for me and my wife. Turned out a previous tenant put a mail hold on our address and I picked it up from the USPS office - simply go to the office responsible for your address and explain.

There’s an option on their website that you can check if you want to be notified when your mail is delivered. It's different from the notification about what mail you're receiving that day.

It's strange because when I got the email, I went out immediately to check, but there was no mailman or even a USPS van. So, there’s a possibility they sent it by mistake. I’ll have to wait until tomorrow and then take action if I don’t receive anything.
 
Hi all - how do we go about changing our address when moving?

Simply in the online account, is that sufficient?

That’s indeed strange. Keep an eye out tomorrow and then I’d go to the post office.

Was the letter sent from your FO?
 
Hello, I want to ask if the schedule for your interview or the i-485 is based on visa availability for the DV lottery? And I wonder if 2025AS00017XXX is a huge number?

I don't understand your first question. Re 2nd: 2025AS17304 is 75th percentile of all cases in AS

Will update once the letter comes through but looking at previous years it looks like the earliest the SEA FO provided notices was late April/Early may.

I think so. I am not aware of any other method (other than calling them?). I'd be cautious though - would avoid a move if possible. But of course life happens and you can't hold off things forever also.

It’s a move within the same jurisdiction, so the case won’t have to be transferred. Is that the concern?

Hello, my question is, as for the DV lottery, will you get the interview when the visa availability reaches my number? In this case, 2025AS0017xxx. And is it fine to continue the process for the interview? I hope this clarifies my question

Have you read the spreadsheet linked In the first post of this thread? It explains the process. Short version, you can submit your application when the visa bulletin shows your number, but the interview itself can be weeks or months after the number is current depending on the field office.
