DV 2025 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

For those who were lucky enough to be selected in the DV2025 lottery and are going through AOS (Adjustment of Status), could you please fill out this Excel spreadsheet "DV 2025 AOS Timeline Spreadsheet"? so that everyone can get an idea of the processing timelines.
@Britsimon Are you the administrator of this document? I no longer have editing access, only view-only. I've sent several requests but haven't received any response.
Thanks

Spreadsheet access has been granted.

Thanks for the clarification.

You earlier advised me to not use up both options at the same time, so while I understand that providing a specific time might not be possible, should we wait for result for the case inquiry (up to 60 days) or should we just wait a few weeks?
Just use your discretion please.

How did you know when it was cashed? Checking with your bank?
Well, if it's money order, then there's a tracking to see if it is cashed or not. Still, the payment may not be processed. If it's cashier's check, then the only way is to call the bank and ask but sometimes they don't even know.

I sent money order, couple of days later I checked the status from USPS website, it was cashed in successfully. Then I waited 2 weeks, nothing happened, asked KCC by email, they said it has not been processed yet by KCC, but in 3rd week I received the receipt.

Same. Seattle FO. Sent our package to Phoenix in Jan, had our biometrics in Feb and no updates after that, just waiting. Reached out to live agent and he said there's nothing outstanding with our cases, just wait
Any movement for you? Our case has moved to ready to be scheduled phase (Seattle FO). It says that they'll let us know soon when the interview will be - so eagerly waiting for that mail.

Hi

Has anyone faced issues getting their GC under U4U status? My friends sent their documents back in December and don’t have any updates-someone told them that since they are on u4u their papers will not be processed until any decision is made by Trump administration…

Thx in advance

Their case number is under 100, they made a silly mistake of sending their documents too early and received rejection after which they applied again in December

Yes. Search for postings by @MaryJks to read about their experience.

Hi Simon, I have a question. I already had my biometrics appointment. Do you know how long it takes to get my interview appointment?

We have no pertinent information about your case, I cannot guesstimate when you may get your interview appointment. Do add your case timeline to the Timeline spreadsheet to give better insight to your case.

p.s. I’m not Simon.

Where do you see that case movement, USCIS web site or Emma live agent? I'm also from Seattle and my case is still "fingerprints were taken" since Feb

Hi Mom,

I hope you are doing well.

My case number is AS12xxx, and I expect it to become current by July. However, I have concerns about my immigration status. Currently, I am under TPS (Temporary Protected Status), which is set to expire on May 20, 2025.

I have two questions:
  1. Legal Status After TPS Expiration:
Based on my research, after TPS expires, an individual generally has two additional months of legal status to either leave the U.S. or apply for adjustment of status if eligible.
My question is: Do I need to mention this rule to the USCIS officer when submitting my adjustment of status package, or do officers already know and apply this rule automatically?
  2. Automatic TPS Extension Rule:
If DHS (Department of Homeland Security) does not issue a termination notice at least 60 days before the TPS expiration date, TPS is automatically extended for six additional months.
For my country, TPS is set to expire on May 20, 2025, and 60 days prior would have been March 20, 2025. Since DHS has not issued any termination notice, it appears that the automatic extension rule will apply.
My question is: If my case number becomes current in August or September, how should I present or use this automatic extension rule during my green card interview? Should I hire a lawyer to help with this, or can I explain it myself during the interview?

I really appreciate your insight and experience regarding these concerns.

1. One of the basic rules to abide by when going through an immigration process is to never volunteer unsolicited information (which is what trying to explain whatever you deem your current situation to be when you send in your AOS package is). Doing so more often than not ends up causing more damage vs doing any good.

Bear in mind, we're in an unchartered/volatile territory under the current administration. It is hard to know/say how the IO will view an application submitted during the 2 months period following the TPS status ending.

2. Lawyers cannot answer questions for you during your interview. If you've done your research and have the applicable official references on hand, you should be able to address the questions on your own. You however can determine on your own if you feel having a lawyer on hand can help keep your mind at rest.
