Sometimes it takes a week for others it takes a month… I believe you’re still within normal range. Check the spreadsheet to get an idea how long it can take for your lockbox.Hi Mom,
I sent my AOS package to Chicago 17 days ago. I didn't receive anything yet and I filled out the form to receive email and text. Should I be concerned about it or it is normal? My current number is in June.
Thank you so much.
Did they process your AOS payment?Hi Mom,

1. This is a personal decision you’ll need to make based on your risk tolerance level. I recommend you take a look at the FAQ tab of the AOS Process spreadsheet to learn more about early filing.Hello everyone,
Thank you all for the valuable information being shared here. I’m new to the forum.
I’m a DV 2025 selectee with a relatively high case number (EU251XX), and I have a few questions about the AOS process, especially since the queue seems to be progressing slower than expected:
- I have just learned about the early filing process. Would you recommend early filing based on your experience? What are the things to consider when filing early?
- I paid the $330 fee and received a confirmation in the mail but never submitted the DS-260. Can I submit the form now?
- I received a speeding ticket in 2018. Some have mentioned bringing such records to the interview, how necessary is that? How about tax docs? Is it recommended as well?
- I attended a college in the past but no longer have the I-20 from that institution. Due to a malware incident, the school couldn’t retrieve it either, though they issued a formal letter explaining the situation. I’ve submitted FOIA requests without success. I do have other documentation proving my attendance and CPT participation, and I’ve retained all I-20s from other most recent institutions. Now, I submitted a request to the State Department hoping they may have a copy of my I-20. Could this missing document pose a problem? Has anyone dealt with something similar?
Thanks a lot!
You’ll need to list both. The status in which you were originally admitted in, and the new status you’ve since changed into.Hi,
I am started doing AOS package, I have F1 and TPS right now. Should I also add both status copy in the package or only one that I use on my i 485? What status would you like to recommend to add on my i485? Should I use my latest status that I got approved or it doesnt matter? My case is current in June. If I sent in May, is it considered as early filing?
You’ll need to decide on your own at this point if you should be talking to some US embassies in nearby or other countries to find out if they will be willing to accept your case for CP (this will require you being able to enter such a country of course for your interview); or keep waiting while hoping the current policy against U4U AOS processing gets changed.Hello.
We have such situation. We entered to USA by U4U humanitarian parole. We won DV lottery 2025, sent DS-260 and put the information that we are going to adjust our status in USA.
We received TPS. Then we sent our AOS petition (I-485) , received notice and now we are waiting for interview. But after we have read that our entering to USA by U4U can be not eligible to apply DV lottery based AOS. What should we do in this case. We have very shot time to leave USA and to transfer case to U.S. Consulate.
I can’t guarantee what sort of chance you may or may not have. I’ve basically shared with you what similar folks in your situation are doing. You’ll contact the embassy and explain your situation, keep your fingers crossed while hoping they’ll be accommodating.Thank you. Do we can have some small chance if we will write letters to consul. Or what arguments can we give to at least slightly increase the chances inside the country?
Forum protocol suggests that you should number all your questions, so that way it won't be missed from your earlier post.Thank you!! My case is current in June. If I sent in May, is it considered as early filing?
No idea but you should have submitted that as soon as you knew you were selected man. Anyway, it's not important for AOS cases.Hello everyone! Can someone explain what the duration is usually for DS-260 processing? If I'm a 2025 DV winner and submit the DS-260 now, will I have enough time to get the 2NL from KCC to include in the AOS package? If I don't receive it by the time my CN is current, what would I need to do? AS13xxx

My understanding is if the package is received at the lockbox before June 1, it's considered early filing.
Getting the 2NL following the DS260 submission could be anywhere between 2 to 8 weeks (or longer in some cases). Inclusion of the 2NL in the AOS package while recommended is not mandatory though.Hello everyone! Can someone explain what the duration is usually for DS-260 processing?
