This is what I don't like about people, definitely I can imagine the pain of refferal, somehow it would be a great help once you can share the result, as many of us can relate the situation to the individual case.

My status is applied on 2017 for asylum 2025 wirt of mandmous week after filing interview a week after pending decision then application pending then mailed out. Set for trail on June. I am traveling to Canada this month to seek asylum. Hoping for everyone on this forum to keep hope and stay strong.

For some reason I hear about more and more people waiting for decision long time from Chicago AO. Is there a particular reason for it or no? Is it more likely to receive an approve if you waiting long for decision (I thought they issue referral fast) or it not related at all?

Same here. I was supposed to pick up my decision at Newark Asylum Office on March 19th but 2 days before that date, the officer called me and mentioned my decision is gonna be mailed to me. No update since then. Status is “Application is pending”. My travel history is “No record found or something”. BTW, I haven’t traveled since arriving yo the US back in 2022 anyway. I can see my admission date and port of entry in i-94 though. I don’t know if it’s a thing or not? What you guys think?

Just keep tracking your case status. I94 Travel history means nothing, for me my I94(online) remains no change after approval. So don’t waste your time checking i94. Checking case status everyday instead of.
Hi sorry you got a referral. Are you sure you want to go to apply for asylum in Canada? Canada and US have the safe third country agreement. So if your asylum got denied here it’ll be really hard for you to claim asylum in Canada, unless you imigrate into other category (like work, mariage etc). Please do not be discouraged as in some states court has a higher approval rate than asylum offices. Look at your judge approval rate and talk with a lawyer. I wish you all luck!
