Did you finally received the approval? If yes, how long after the interview?

I was supposed to pick up my decision at Newark Asylum Office on March 19th but 2 days before that date, the officer called me and mentioned my decision is gonna be mailed to me. No update since then. Status is still “Application is pending”.

Sorry for hearing you got a referral. Good luck with your asylum journey in Canada. If you could kindly keep folks here posted with that journey as well that would be extremely helpful. Everyone is having a difficult time and would definitely appreciate that.

Hi, I am sorry for the result you got, to be honest you are the first person I have encounter application is pending status gor refferal.
Please stay stong, wish you a best of luck for your next journey.

I can see my admission date and port of entry in i-94 though. I don’t know if it’s a thing or not? What you guys think?

I had an interview in Newark Novermber last year, still decision pending. My travel history also not found (if that even means anything). Please keep posted if you get any updates. Thanks!

As far the application, I did really check this forum well I think it doesn't really matter if you are pending status or any other status because the status can go backwards or forward so you can't really tell. Thanks for your kind words and I wish you the same.

Interview - 10/29/2024 - Decision is Pending

04/14/2025 - Fees Were Waived

I also submitted I589 in October, 2024 in Arlington office. my interview was in January 2025 after that my status changed to Decision Is Pending, then after 3 months it changed to Application Is Pending one week ago. Hope to get approval like your timeline.

Congratulations!!! Can you please tell me is your receipt number starts with ‘LGL’ ? Mine starts with same and I think it denotes Arlington Asylum office . Thank you

Hi Thank you so much,
AT first I was thinking the same as you, well just to give you an Idea my case start with MGL, Arlington, but then friend of mine his case in Newyork and still the same MGL, so I guest you cant determine which Asylum office assigned to, better ti check the receipt notice, it showing in there, at the botton of the letter notice.
