Waiting Asylum decision

San Francisco has high approve rate. Additional time needed for many reasons, waiting your background check, waiting asylum officer’s director to approve your new I94 card. I think it’s 51% positive feel. If they denied you and refer to immigration court they don’t have to call you and delay, right? Actually less work need to be done if they deny you.

Apply i589 October 2024
Interview 11 March 2025 San Francisco
Decision pickup date 25 March 2025,but on 24 March 2025 the AO called me the pickup was cancelled, when the decision is ready, it will be mailed to me.Additionally, on March 27,2025, i received an email from uscis stating:"we have taken an action on your case"However when i logged into my uscis online account, i didnot see any updates, new notification,or new documents regarding my i589 case.Until today 1 April I haven't seen any updates. The process of waiting for the decision was very painful, and I was also worried about i will be informed having a second interview.Has anyone received the decision of the interview in March in San francisco office?

Applied for asylum 2017
Filed WOM on 2024 Feb
Got Interview on March
Application status changed to

Week later application status changed to
(Decision Is Mailed) Today.
Note I94 travel history not found
I extended my EAD the last year
Is there a way I can confirm the status of my case?

Well, you were so sure about messing up your interview, I think you didn’t answered te questions properly as you planned, you have a referral there.

That decision mailed without any another update is a 99% referral to court, as you planned right ?

I am just waiting for an approval here buddy that's the only thing that I am sure and I was sure about... I have talked to my lawyer he said this doesn't mean anything because I had EAD before that's why it will not change to any other status... Just for future reference...

Does it update right away? I am just waiting for an approval here buddy...
The last couple messages didn’t look like it, I really hope good new, but Decision was mailed without any another update generally is a court referral.

I am not sure what you are referring to, but you can stop assuming my actions... I am call my other lawyer to see because I have seen this is a common questions and am confirm results here too, I have seen people with decision was mailed and got approved. I was well prepared in a top shape to the interview, it was easy, and the officer was friendly... Thank you.

did you check your A number with EOIR website? but seems to be Approval, I observed after interview if you received this message like you. its 100%, the words like "fingerprints were taken" are like they will issue a new category of A05 EAD. so if you received the EAD A05. Then Your case has been approved. Congratulations.

I checked EOIR and is not showing anything. I have seen people got updated on that system on the same day when their status got updated from the USCIS as it is an automated system. I have giving my fingerprints back on 2018 so every time I renew I don't get to give me fingerprints. Can you confirm?

Try to put maybe your case number in case tracker? And also on USCIS online and look at the history tab. Maybe you can see more information there. If thy send out a decision it should arrive within 7-10 business days or before. Good luck!

I have seen very few cases where decision mailed with no update in the system and they got an approved decision. So it’s really 50/50. Sometimes it’s due to the fact that all updates happened at the same time, so you can’t see the card update until they mail it out. Good luck to him whatever the case!

The case can't be added after creating the account, and as of checking the online tool it shows it's Mailed so I am not able to check the movement of the account. So I was really trying to find a way to confirm things besides the I94 and the court system that both doesn't have records. Thanks for your best wishes...

use “case tracker app” you can see a full history of your case.

My own experience,

I have seen “decision was mailed” on the same day I got approved. But a few hours later it changed to fee was waived and fingerprints was taken.

A few hours later, it showed new card was ordered. And usps tracking was posted.
