I got this topic on naira land forum and i felt its ideal if i bring the topic here.please feel free to comment.''In order to fine-tune my research, I have begun asking people - friends and families abroad - what they love about America.
As one might suspect liberty, freedom of speech and freedom of worship etc. But some of the other things they have pointed to may surprise you.
Among the answers I got were the Times Square, Sandra Bullock, South Beach, The Cosby Show and the Western Films.''
Terrific answers you may want to say!
However, I would love to hear what you love about America

I love American because of so many reasons.but the ones that freak me most is like everything about them is gigantic.Their food portion, the cars, the roads and buildings.i love that country....

* United States Constitution (Individual liberties, Liberal Democracy, etc.)
* Prolific history, even though a rather young country
* Capitalism :)
* Rich in every single aspect you can imagine; natural resources, talents, contribution to the well-being of the humankind, etc.

As somebody who has lived here all my life, this topic requires essays to answer completely and thoroughly. I will tell you top 10 things I like about America in no particular order.

1. Freedom to be anybody you want. You can do anything you want as long as it is legal and very few, if any will judge you for it.

2. Relatively stable and safe. There is no chance of a civil war. All the international conflicts we are involved in will never affect citizens living in US, at least in the near future.

3. Giant country with huge natural resources that everyone can use by going hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, surfing, skiing, amongst many different sports.

4. Great standards of customer service everywhere you go in private institutions, as well as governmental organizations. You expect great service and a smile, and if you feel you were mistreated, you can always demand to speak with a higher authority that will almost always apologize for anything going wrong and make it right. Customer is always right (even when they really aren’t)!

5. Ability to buy and return items you don’t like, want, need, that broke or are defective. Most stores give you 30 days, Walmart, Toys'r Us, Target give you 90 days, but some like Costco give you unlimited time to use it and return it for any reason. There are becoming less and less of those. This allows you to buy more without thinking twice if you really need it. Ability to have more with less money improves quality of life.

6. As a result of America being a consumerist nation and us buying a ton of products, every manufacturer and store dreams of getting into the American market and thus we have the best selection of products in the whole world and because it’s so competitive – the lowest prices as well, especially if you know how to shop right, with sales, coupons and timing.

7. Ability to go to school/college/university at any time of your life. The government pays for all or some of your education and this allows you to work, go to school part time and when you’re done maybe get a new career, job and improve your life by getting a higher paying job. This will allow you to move to a better (safer) neighborhood with better schools.

8. If you are not lazy, you will never be dirt poor or homeless, as minimum wage jobs are almost always available and unless you live in the most expensive city like LA or New York, it should be enough for you to do ok and at least put food on your table.

9. There are very few social safety nets, but they do exist in case you fall on hard times. If you are disabled or have children, many more social programs and help becomes available to you.

10. Being a citizen of America gives you a huge advantage when traveling overseas. We can travel almost anywhere in the world visa free and you are more respected in many parts of the world by authorities, since they know that you have the might and influence of the US government and military behind your back. Most cops or government officials are not going to risk messing with you. In Muslim countries on the other hand, you are a target and it’s disadvantageous to be an American.

Can these be true, and if so,it can make some people to crafty and cunning.I don't like that to some extent.

That is probably true of most "first world countries" and not just relevant to America alone.

We can travel almost anywhere in the world visa free

Not true, every country has entry protocols and visa that must be issued to tourists or workers entering its borders. Just because you don't have to pre apply to a lot of embassies now prior to departure doesn't mean they don't exist or are no longer applicable to American citizens.

and you are more respected in many parts of the world by authorities
, since they know that you have the might and influence of the US government and military behind your back.

Absolutely rubbish, how do you qualify a statement like that? People respect you because of how you act and treat others not because of the name of the country on the front of your passport. Most people outside of the states cant tell the difference between an American accent and a Canadian one.

Most cops or government officials are not going to risk messing with you.

As long as you are not being a dick the police have no reason to mess with you, being american is not going to get you out of trouble if you are breaking the law though.

In Muslim countries on the other hand, you are a target and it’s disadvantageous to be an American.

There are plenty of countries where it is disadvantageous to be a Christian, Hindu, Bhuddist or practice Islam. Your last statement was just plain ignorant.

Yes I know simon but I didn't have enough time to read the rest of the ignorant crap he wrote.

My top 10 best things about America had more substance, importance and use than the rest of the posts in this whole forum combined. This was written by a real American who has lived here all of his life. My post was criticized by a bunch of morons who know absolutely nothing about anything. Me and Raevsky are the only two valuable posters on there, the rest are just wasting electrons. Raevsky was bullied into leaving this forum, but this will not happen with me. These little castrates with shriveled up prunes would piss themselves if they saw me in real life and call for their mama. I will not leave no matter what vile crap comes out of you.

I'm sorry but you are actually extremely amusing! Hahaha. That thing about being able to return items within 90 days at Walmart? Are you kidding me?! Firstly, you can return things in many countries, including my own, but that's not the point. There are things about a country far more important and valuable than something like that, which is why it's so funny you think your post has so much substance. You made some decent points but both C1984 and vladek managed to create substance without the discriminative and somewhat racist tone, something you apparently struggle to do across the forums!
I can certainly see, however, why having cops and authorities 'respect' you or not want to 'mess' with you is so important to someone of your vicious, hubristic demeanour.

I don't usually bother engaging with people such as yourself, but to be so blatantly rude to so many people at once- most of whom are here purely to share information and support on an issue of common interest- really quite angers me. And I imagine it angers the other Americans on the board as you're not painting a particularly nice picture of the country we're all interested in making our own, and you're EXACTLY the type of person souring America's reputation (the one that has something to do with a hefty amount of self-importance) and destroying that respect that you for some reason believe is infallible (it's not, and hasn't been for a long time.)

Well said , surely the best post of the year yeahhhh

To lighten up the mood I'll list few trivial things that I love about America :) Learned my lesson and I just do not pay attention to people stirring the shit up :)

Things that I like about the good ol' US of A are pretty shallow compared to most of people I guess. My life is pretty good and America is just a little upgrade for me really. Freedom and security wise I actually think that most of Europe and UK especially is much better than the US. People really do not care what you believe in or not, what you wear, how you look, who you vote for. If you work, life can be OK, healthcare is good, no wars, no crazy people with guns or any of that. On the other hand it is overcrowded a bit and weather BLOWS! There are many things in the US that terrify me but first of all I will stick to my British Passport and can always come back to the UK and also I am a white, married professional with work experience from the US and as bad as it sounds I tick all the right boxes.

Anyways...here it comes:

California especially San Diego,
Joshua Tree National Park (my favourite place on Earth)
Cajun Chicken Wings at Bar Bill in the city of East Aurora near Buffalo
Loads I mean loads of space
Almost all possible climates in one country
Steaks - those crazy cowboys know how to cook a steak :)
Ford Mustang
Mayhem Festival
Las Vegas
Whole Foods
Big Houses
Venice Beach
Guns (wouldn't like to own any but love a day at a well equipped shooting range)
Food Quality - not the portions :)
Yosemite
NYC
Sirius XM Octane and Liquid Metal
Comedy Central
HBO
Comic-Con
Nice and welcoming people - mostly :)
Standard of living and access to services
Marvel and DC
Jamba Juice (what can I say I really like bananabery smoothie:) )
A chance for my future kids to have a much better start that I had !
Easy life in the right circumstances

Substance: the quality of having a solid basis in reality or fact. FAIL
Importance:the state or fact of being of great significance or value. FAIL

You really think your ONE post has more value to say Joe Bloggs who has just found out he has been selected and has come to this forum to find out how to proceed to interview than a thread that explains how to submit forms, what immunizations are required and what type of passport photos to get done.

Perhaps we should just get your post pinned to the top of the forum so that everyone can drink from your vast and awesome well of knowledge.

This was written by a real American who has lived here all of his life.

Your post was also written by an idiot, still doesnt make it awesome.

My post was criticized by a bunch of morons who know absolutely nothing about anything.

I know that in the film Return of the Jedi, the name "Ewok" is never actually spoken, but it appears in both the script and the closing credits.

This is photo of an Ewok for those of you that dont know what one is.

Me and Raevsky are the only two valuable posters on there, the rest are just wasting electrons.

Raevsky is an important part of the forum its true and contributes a wealth of information, he is not however the only important member here. We all play our parts, I mean even you act as comic relief every now and then.

Raevsky was bullied into leaving this forum, but this will not happen with me.

I do belive I saw young Mr Raevsky posting in the other thread.

These little castrates with shriveled up prunes would piss themselves if they saw me in real life and call for their mama.

Why would anyone be reduced to public urination, I mean are you that unfortunate looking that your face would literally scare the pee out of someone. I am sure we can all chip in and get you some help. And prune like testicles are more likely to be the result of steroid abuse, which I am pretty sure none of us use let alone abuse.

I am vile crap
