They can talk with all the nice manners but actions speaks louder then words. And history proves that - recent or medieval. It is easy to comment when you are not affected by the actions.
Geetha1, looks like you have some sort of a "hang-up" you are dwelling too much in the past! It's people like you who carry a vendetta forever and will never let this world become a place of peace where all people can live side by side in harmony.

tsnbagman, she does appear to have some prejudices but i don't think people here are clamoring for her to get out of these forums. let us just hope that she will make more sensible posts going forward. technically, she is right about early finger printing.
geetha1, you are entitled to your personal opinions but you seem to be carrying some really old baggage. by your own arguments, you have to realize that many of the muslims from the sub-continent would have had a hindu ancestry at some point in time. so, you are right in saying 'india and pakistan are not friends'; they are actually more like cousins.
i don't think we should judge people without ever being in their shoes. there are parts of india that are as messed up as parts of pakistan and religion definitely has nothing to do with it.
i don't think citizens are always responsible for the actions of their govts. and that is true for americans, indians as well as pakistanis; actually more so for pakistanis, who have been under a military dictatorship for most of the time.
finally, ghantabro, i think one comment in your last post was improper. i'm sure you are a decent guy and that one comment didn't befit you.

Guys the last time i checked , i thought this is a forum for people filling for citizenship , not an avenue to discuss political or religious issues. Some of us appreciate the postings here RELATED TO US CITIZENSHIP APPLICATION , lets not get off the track.....

I am appalled at the ignorant comments directed at me and
SUPRISED at NO COMMENT/condemnation at sexual harassment remarks made by tsnbagman against me.
Interestingly it is ignored completely that this man Tsnbagman lied to get his fingerprints done ahead of appointment time. The lie is the isssue not going ahead of time.
And people get the government they deserve. India has always had democracy and pakistan was/is a mess. If one reads the recent/not so recent events almost all mischief started there. But these are facts one can read not opinions, so why be so touchy and say all happpened in the past.

To those of you who are saying, let's get back to the citizenship issue: well, this is a citizenship issue. Becoming a US citizen shouldn't just mean expecting tolerance from the broader community, but practicing it as well. If you want to be on an equal footing with others in this immigrant-based society, you need to check those old hatreds at the door. To be blunt, if you can't leave your tribal mentality, don't leave your tribe.

Do you understand simple English? Amazingly not. Stating historical/current facts is not harassment/prejudice. And as for your holier then thou attitude you can sit back on your sofa or officer chair and make grand statements easily not at all touched by the events.
So why don't you just keep mum and take your preaching somewhere else.

geetha1, no one is ignoring sexist comments made against you. tsnbagman has not made any such comments to you on this thread; if he or anyone has made sexist comments to you in the past, then it is unlikely readers on this thread will take them to task. For people who did make such comments on this thread, we did ask them to take it back and ghantabro has attempted an apology in his recent post.
Good point, though I don't think it is lost on everyone. Many people have done early FP's without having to lie about it. In the long run, it does not seem to help speed the case anyways. So, you don't have to fight every battle; pick those which will help people not divide them.

I am sure there are as many decent men in Pakistan as there are idiots in India. The only sick comment against you on this thread came from an Indian and not Pakistani. People on this forum are well-read and don't need lessons in geo-politics. At the same time, they don't wake up every morning cursing Pakistan. As far as events from the past are concerned, you are the one who raised them in the first place.

geetha1, why don't you tell us how Pakistani terrorism has affected you -- what you refer to as 'touched by the events'. May be that will provide the perspective to the readers, that we all feel is missing.

If it was not for those terrorist attack, citizenship process would not have taken so long. I mean terrorists and terrorists do not have any nationality.
