I also received the FP2 notice by mail and find no change in my on-line status. I have talked to my lawyer and decided to go to FP office having it done as early as possible. He told me that a few his clients had done so, the worst could be that they refuse to give you one, no harm could be done. So far, most of them got the FP done the same day.
 
No changes on my case status when CIS issued 2nd FP notice, I got it by mail and went to local INS office two days ago.

Update on FP2

We took our 2nd FP on Saturday. The officer was surprised by our early arrival (INS appointment is in October), however, after a lecture regarding respecting the scheduled FP timing, he took us in and had the FP done in 15 minutes.

Hopefully it will help us to speed up the process.

The letter that I got yesterday told me that there was a typographical error and CIS would correct it and forwarded an officer for a review.

I called Customer service asking them to correct my SS# in the system, as the SS# in the 2nd FP notice was not correct.

Don't know when I could get approval.

We got a letter from BCIS saying "your I-485 has been approved" and it said it is a courtesy copy and the original is sent to the attorney. BUT the wierd thing is, the online status did not change. It still shows that they received my RFE documents. Could it be that, BCIS updates the online status later than it sends the notice?? Also, the notice said, they need two ADIT photos with right ear showing. But I heard from other people that they want striaght passport photos now. Is the notice wrong in this case, or they still want old style photos for this case???
Also, can someone post the link that tells us what to do after I-485 approval??

FINALLY, THANK YOU ALL in the message board for the support. Your suggestions have been very useful. I won't stop visiting the message board though :)

Finally got the Approval. Recieved an Email saying that mine and spouse's cases have been approved. Waiting for the Approval notice to come and will go for stamping.Took Infopass appointment for 5th Nov.

It looks like NCS has slowed down in the month of October when compared to previous months. However, they are working on cases from December 2002. Hang on there and hope we all get a nice letter from NCS for Christmas.

Yes we did our 2nd FP on 08/17/2004. No RFE....
Still waiting for the Approval Notice to come so that we can go for stamping.

GOT APPROVAL. As I told in my previous post, we got approval on Oct 25.
But the online status is not updated yet?? Could there by any reason for it?
