14ksusha said:I met with the director today. The rep who I sent me away with state troopers was there too. I had print outs from their website and all the documents I had last time. The director and the rep acknowledged that their website does not make it clear but I-94s are considered by this MVA out-of-country documents (!!!!) But in my case 'they realize that I have plenty of other documents from the list and they will gladly accept them all and give me my MD driver's license'. They were so desperate to cover their a...ses, I was really amused. I told them that the reason I came was not to get the MD DL which I know I am entitled to. I came for an apology and reassurance that this agency will review their training and customer service standards. I also wanted to know who is behind the decision of making an I-94 form an "out of country document". I noted that this is obviously a document issued by Federal Gt and by not accepting it as a primary document, they violating the fedral regulations.
They still didn't apologize. The director was getting very defensive because he could not give me answers to any of the above questions. I noticed that the rep was aiding him in explaining the documents I brought. He kept telling me that I was being aggresive and there must have been a reason why the rep came back with sate troopers. I said "Could it be the reason that I simply exercised my rights? Or may be she realized she had made a mistake? Or may be I was forceful and refused to give up and this establishment is not used to it?' He kept rambling on that she was following the procedures. I got up and said they were wasting my time and they would hear from me. Got their business cards and left with my head held high!
Good job 14ksusha!
