Waiting Asylum decision

Hello everone! I had my asylum interview on july 9th, 2024. And today my status changed from decision pending to decision mailed that was in the morning. Now it shows:

Fees Were Waived

On October 1, 2024, we received your case and waived the filing fee for your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, . We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case.

is that a good sign!! Hope it is.
Congratulations! Which office did you have your interview?

I'm so sorry to hear that. But yes, your lawyer should know better. USCIS may reject the application because no fee was paid. That is just my guess, do not quote on that one. But demand answers to your lawyer. Your lawyer MUST know that.

This is from the current "USCIS Fee Schedule". There is NOT $0 fee for Asylees.

I also attached the "Fee Waiver" information.

Again, all that is available at USCIS website.
Yep i am screwed i guess

Hello guys,
I have a question, if i apply for I-730 for my wife, can she go back to the country of birth since she is not the principal applicant?
She "can". Should she? No.

I wouldn't do it my guy. I asked the same question to my lawyer and he said: "Technically there is nothing wrong but I wouldn't do it. You guys will be risking to much."

That is just my opinion. Do whatever you feel is correct and whatever fits your needs.

Congratulations! Good to know that Newark office still works and you didn't have to wait for too long.
My decision is pending for 4+ months from the same office.
Did you do anything to get your decision or just waited?
Thank you! I just waited. I didn't do anytthing, I know someone has been waiting for 8 months. Good Luck to all!!

Hi all,

If anyone has any experience with an approved interview expedite request please share the timeline from when you got it approved to when your interview was actually scheduled. I am contemplating keeping the WOM i already started or cancelling it since i got my expedite request approved

Thanks
