I have Applied for asylum in 2016 finally had interview on Aug 26 after requesting to expedite my case and since that day case tracker shows pending decision. Should i send email or call uscis or wait?

Never hurts to write them.
It's typical for decision in Newark to be delayed.
I'm in the same boats (4+ months of waiting).
I started writing to them, engaging congress people, etc.
Basically preparing for another mandamus if no decision in 12 months.

I renewed my Passport Dec 2023 since my case nothing related with the government, I presented my passport in my interview.
