Wage determination and timeline

a dark corner in european law :p , we didn't know we wanted to stay this long when i started, otherwise i would've chosen something more suitable for niw, no worries.

the co. lawyers run most things by us or hubby's supervisor who just cc's him as well, but you're right, going down the route and then finding that something was badly formulated in the beginng must drive you up the wall, keeping fingers crossed...
 
you are going to be fine, though I still hate to watch "friends" especially when they joke about Ross not being real doctor.

Our lawyers don't run anything by us. The HR also insists he doesn't know anything and they give him orders like: "Today we need GC approval letter signed by the supervisor." So he produces the letter (which we never see) and 3 days later I find the ad placed in the job bank. Drives me nuts, given that I am control freak and I don't know what's happening.

I wrote today an email to my lawyer. I told her that I'm unhappy, frustrated for what she is doing. I was telling her that we want to pay less for the GC process than before.
 
yeah johnny and good luck! i read your other posts, looks like the lawyer made a serious slip-up (to say the least), but i guess since you're quite early in the process you have time to straighten things out. keep us posted.

Instead of the company's name "Tribuna" DOL placed this -NEW YORK STATE DEPT OF LABOR -
We don't know if it's wrong that candidates to send the ad to DOL instead of Tribuna......

Hi johnny,

Sorry this happened. I think you should fix the DOL ad. If you do it now you will lose couple of days, while if you have to redo the whole process because of this later it would be worse.

I am happy because everything is ok with the DOL ad!!!!! :p We have to place on the company's site and 10 days internal. It's normal that instead of company's name to put DOL address. I don't know if we will have more condidates!!!!!!!
I hope on April to start the Perm!!!!!!

I am relieved a bit....but starting from this moment 30 days ad+ 30 days after ads we are "waiting" candidates. :eek: :eek: . I want to tell you step by step about what happened with the AD for DOL.

1. We sent M+2 at wrong address(January 24)
2. We noticed(me) the mistake and we sent again with M+0 but wrong address
3. I discovered(me) that we have the wrong address and I got the good one and we sent at this address M+O.
4. After two days of waiting finally the ad was placed but with Bachelor+0

5. I found the number for NY State DOL and my lawyer called and she fixed the problem(February 5).
6. Today we have the good ad. I am a bit worry because we ask the lawyer to placed only the mail company's address or DOL's address and today I saw the fax number. I heard that to placed only the mail is a trick to eliminate the candidates. 2 months stress!!!!! :mad: :eek:

I sent the ad...Maybe either of address is correct- company's address and DOL address.
 
I am starting to get lost with all these details :confused: What do you think, should I be worried about the date that changed?
 
ok johnny, i didn't know about the "wrong address" part, and i thought you had multiple applications for same job at DOL, obviously you don't as the previous two were sent to the wrong place. thanx. pardon my question though, your lawyer is handling everything, right? i think your job should be just to go over the final drafts and correct mistakes if there are any, not worrying about if they're going to the right address etc. that's too much in my opinion.

unsure, i haven't seen the ad, but if you have any serious worries contact the lawyer, i know s/he is reluctant to give out info but if you spot a mistake that can be costly afterwards i'm sure they'll respond (even for that one time).

keeping our hopes high! we're still waiting to hear from the swa though...

Maybe I'm a bit paranoia but for my stress I will do print every day the DOL's ad starting with today and I will end on March 7. Maybe ajb is different than http://www.caljobs.ca.gov/. ...my opinion is that you have 2 ads. First AD was starting on January 11 and the second was starting on February 2.
You gays are you have pictures?

Sorry unsure I didn't read correct the information. Maybe it's normal to change the ad's day after few days...I don't know. If nothing is not change in ad than you will end this weekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk....ura!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We don't have pictures online. I am yet to buy a digital camera :). My problem was that the ad in ajb was posted on 01/11/07. On 02/02 the date suddenly changed. Nothing else, just the date!!! I have a printout with the Jan 11th date.

I don't know. I can't call the lawyer and ask him what is he doing! According to the red banner on the web page I am to refrain from negative comments or remarks also ... I am worried that if the new start date is Feb 2nd, we have lost 22 days of advertising.

nazar, I am not sure it is a mistake yet. There is nothing wrong with the ad, and the date column says : date posted/modified. They could have modified it or god knows what.
 
The chances are we will not be done! I am still missing one sunday ad (I saw one and that was it), and I am missing the third advertisement method. We have the paper copy of the newspaper, the online site and NO third? the HR said: "They are advertising now, everything is on track, don't worry."

I would love to call them and ask, but they don't disclose any information. I wanted to know what papers do we need for the I140 stage and they did not respond - even to THAT question.

We finished with 2 Sundays...we didn't placed yet on company's site(because it's broke now) and 10 days internal posting.
