As long as you want to continue to maintain renewal of your H1 and EAD, you have dual intent. Once you stop renewing H1B, you are on EAD. Once stop renewing EAD and renew your H1B, you are on H1B. Does make sense.kansar said:Thank you all for your responses...

Because I have read from somewhere in Murthy forums that if one enter here with Ap means that the person is not having any valid H1 (since they are not using) and other way to work here apart on h1b is on EAD.
I don't know how far this is true But i have heard some mixed thoughts about this..Can some one please clear this to me..

Even if you have valid H1B, but not restamped in the passport, it has to be restamped in the passport before you travel. Instead of restamping, AP can be used as an alternative.
AP does not/will not invalidate any document which is used for work.
