I was told the exactly the same. They even told me that this is ND and not RD, which I don\'t believe. Also, there are two processing dates for EAD -- if I\'m correct -- one for initial EAD and the other for renewal. Of course, the initial one is processed faster because for renewal you have plenty time to apply well in advance.

Even in my case too they goofed it big time. Sent on May 8th and I got ND as July 27th!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I went to local INS for intermin EAD, they said its not been 90 days!!!!!!!! this sucks big time. It seems there is no way out....but to suffer!

desi2001, wait for your receipt notice to see whether it\'s really the RD that is 8/17 and not the ND. Have you ever called the AVM at night using your receipt numbers? For my case, it says "your application was received on 8/20/01", which of course is wrong. It was received on 6/2 and the ND is 8/20. I don\'t know whether this means that the RD is now 8/20 but I\'ll keep you posted once I get my receipt in mail.

I agree with you psvgc. Although TSC is extremely slow with receipt notices, I believe that most -- hopefully all -- of you will get their receipts soon.

received at 6/8
AP was returned at 7/3

waitting for receipt.

I am very glad to know that TSCW8er\'s AP got returned but his other applications are not lost. Hope I will have the same luck.

u may be right. I got to wait till I see my actual receipts. I don\'t trust those idiots who may not know the difference between RD & ND and hence they may be using these two words interchangeably.
I did check with AVM today morning at 6:00am CST and it says my I-485 application was received on 08/17.

I know for sure that 90 days law starts from RD and not ND. IIO at local Office here told this to me during my visit last week.
 
Finally the wait it over..

I got my receipts for 485, AP, EAD all of them today,
Send package on May 18th,
RD : May 23th
ND : Aug 17th.
 
90 days from ND

In Atlanta, they go by ND. I spoke with IIO at TSC and even he said its from ND. But, try your luck...cose I saw some posting where one mentioned that he got it before 90 days.

I have posted my experience on some theard here. The first officer cleared me and told me that I am entitled for EAD. When I went to the EAD issuing officer, she refused. Then I went back to first officer and requested her supervisor to talk EAD officer. Even Supervisor could not convince her!!!!!

So, I guess it may be my bad luck!!!$#&*(

Others, go ahead and try your luck...nothing wrong in trying though.
 
Spoke with a TSC IIO

I called yesterday (8/23) and spoke with a nice lady. First she told me that due to the front/back log all applications are taking more than usual time to get keyed in. I politely asked her, giving her my A#, to check on the status. She informed me that it was keyed in on 8/22 and a notice was sent out on the same day. She also gave me SRC#s for both I-485 & I-131. When asked how much longer it will take for me to receive the AP, she replied "30-45 days."

Mailed I-485 & I-131 on May 22, 2001
 
No receipt yet

Filed June 6th ( according to my company lawyers (liers ??)).
EB3 - India.
No RD , No ND , No nothing......nada.....zip.....a big fat zero !!!!!

   Did IIO used to tell u before that u\'r 485 application has not yet reached INS.That happened to me today.....do they mean they haven\'t entered it into computer???

I\'m sure it means they haven\'t entered it into the computer. An IIO wouldn\'t have a clue whether and when your application reached INS. They can only check their system and if your application has been entered they can see the status and if it hasn\'t been entered they can see nothing. So don\'t worry about confusing feedback from IIOs.

Ask your company lawyer to fax you a copy of the FedEx/USPS (or whatever they used) receipt. Tell them that you\'re very worried and you would feel better if you had that receipt with the tracking number.

Also, my application was delivered on June 2nd and it got entered into the system just 4 days ago. Your application probably got delivered about a week after mine so hopefully they will enter it next week.

SINCE THE START OF THIS THREAD,AUGUST 21, 7 FILERS OUT OF 18 HAVE RECEIVED RECEIPTS. IF THIS RATE IS MAINTAINED WE SHOULD ALL RECEIVE RECEIPTS BY THE END OF AUGUST. LET US PRAY IT HAPPENS.GOOD LUCK TO ALL
 
Our checks were cashed :)

as i posted before, our 485 stuff seems to be recvd at TSC on
May31st, entered into the system on Aug22 and I noticed that the
checks i gave for my wife\'s 485, EAD, FP, AP are cashed on date
08/24/01...

waiting for the reciepts in the mail.. should be to-day???
