TSC Consolidated 485 Tracker

I called today but the service rep said that I can't open a request

Because the processing date is not 30 days after I filed it yet. My was rec'd on Oct.4th, the processing date for TSC was Oct.14th. I have to wait for a few more days until the new processing date is out.

Good luck on your case...

when did u call them before? why don;t you open a service request? i'm have the same issue now, i just contacted TSC and informed me that my case is assigned to an officer.

One of the reasons : Many are stuck in namecheck

Many are stuck in namecheck ( you know mainly which countries ) and so didn't consume the anticipated amount of visa numbers and visa numbers got wasted.

The movement in visa dates has a lot of implications for people like us who are not retrogressed. On the minus side, the flood of I-485 applications will likely slow down processing at TSC and NSC even further, just like the flood of I-140s from VSC and CSC has. In addition, a lot of these applications will get stuck in name check, as experience has shown. On the plus side, with so many more applications stuck in name check, maybe all the additional letters etc going to various stakeholders will mean that USCIS does something about this issue. At least one would hope they would - experience shows that it will just mean a bazillion more applications stuck in the dreaded NC, increasing the backlog for all. Anyone have any thoughts on the implications of this movement?

The ramifications can only be bad.
More applications means more slow down at USCIS.
Also more applications go thru Name Check which means more delay from FBI.
Also if the new applications get Name Checked faster than ours, these cases will be adjudicated faster, therby taking away visa numbers.

How to call TSC

Can anyone please tell me how to call TSC?
I remember there was a way of directly calling VSC and talking with an agent. Is there a similar way to talk with someone in TSC?

july 06 - NC
My wife and I applied in July, 06

2 Months ago got a letter (after our inquiry) saying that we should receive a decision in 60 days.

2 days ago, a TSC officer told us (on phone) that we are stuck in Name Check. Don't know why they sent that 60 day letter earlier.

Approved

Hello Everyone,

My I-485 is approved on May10th. I got a card mailed update on 14th may. Spouse's 485 is still pending with RFE update on May 8th. I am currently in India and coming back on 21st May. I did not apply for EAD and AP so went to stamping in Chennai on 26th April. My Name check was pending since August 2006. Not sure if my H1-B stamping cleared the name check or letter to Senator on March 25th.

Any ideas about the RFE for my spouse, please share. Also, Should I get my GC card mailed to India or can I come on my H1-B visa. Please advise.

That is true. Expect HUGE numbers of new AOS and namecheck applications starting Jun. However it also means EB3s from 2001 and 2002 will not have to convert to EB2 anymore.

Your Labor filing date determines your priority date.

After reading this post, I went for INFOPASS in March. I asked the officer why my case is not updated online even after sending the paper 2 months ago. She told me that she doesn’t have any more information to give during that time. But she asked my phone no and told me that she will call me with an update.

Out of nowhere I got a call from her yesterday. She said she was finally able to get hold of the officer who is working on my case. She said the officer told her that they have received the RFE documents that I have sent and he told her that my case will be approved in 3 weeks. I don’t know what to take out of this. Have anyone heard of this before?

It is great that you happened to run into one of the nicer and more professional individuals at CIS. I hope you kept her phone number or at least her name in case you don't hear anything in 3 weeks, then you can follow up with her and see what is going on.

Did you by any chance ask explicitly whether your name check had been cleared?

I just called the national service center for an enquiry to be sent to TSC

Told the guy that my case has been out of the processing time and I haven't seen any update in the past 180 days.

He said that he will put in one and I should receive the decision within the next 45 days. It may be shorter than that.

Anyone has any similar experience? How long does it take for you to get yours?

did ur namecheck clear? if not then they will tell u wait for 6 months and call us back. otherwise u will get an apporval soon.

Unfortunately I don't have her contact no. And when I asked her about the namecheck she said don't worry everything is cleared and you will hear good news in 3 weeks.

It seems you applied 485 earlier than me. I hope your good news is on the way.
