Another LUD today

LUD does not appear to mean anything.

I called yesterday and found that my namecheck is not cleared yet despite the fact i see LUD last month

Hope you ll get your approval soon.

If you are right, then it is too bad, since I got anther LUD today (8/29/2006). LUDs on three consecutive business days! It made me so jinx and impatient. I guess I have to calm down and wait and see what's happening next.

H1B renewal

Well, my lawyer still recommend me to do the H-1B extension even though I already have AP and EAD. Just to play safe if something could go wrong in the I-485 process. I only pay $750 though, while some pays almost $2000.

Your lawyer had 750 reasons to ask you to renew the H1B. :D

msabir, Go for the plasma :)

I know, I know. That' s why I waited until this week to start the extension. Tried to drag it as long as I could.

I would rather buy us a plasma TV when the deal is done. It could be a celebrating gift for my long journey. I considered the H-1B extention fees as our income insurance ;)

Nj

NJ. I considered my case as an unlucky one. Some people having the similar LC priority date and case got their Greencard 2 years ago. Somehow my case struck in Phila BEC. One would think that my LC early priority date would ensure that I will get I-485 fast but 2 months past, no LUD besides the one after FP is done....

Be happy that you made it here...Lot of people are not lucky as you. Atleast you reached this stage. I am also in the same boat as you and pd is aug 2001. If our labor got stuck in PBEC for another 2 months then eb2 would have been unavailable....

It is a painful process and whoever has experienced will agree that (90% of applicants) ...My lawyer also wants me to be on H1B till 485 is approved...

DIY-EAD application mailing address TSC Dept A?

My 485 is in TSC, I understand my EAD application should send to TSC. But in my 485 receipt, the address is
P.O.Box xxxxx-Dept A.
My question is Should I send my EAD applicationto same address including Dept A?
Thanks

I agree with Nayak. I am lucky that the numbers were available for me to file for 485 when my labor was approved at Philly backlog center. Soon after I file my 485, the numbers were unavailable for EB2 category for India.

I was laid off with my first company when my labor was approved. The company did not support me when I asked them to continue processing. I joined an other company and re-applied for labor. I have spent 9 years just to come to this stage of GC processing.I have a PD of Sep 2002.

Yes.Many of my friends too got green cards very long back.

same situation (spouse I 485 delayed)

CP11

I am in the same situation. My wife and I filed under Schedule A on 05/12, hers got approved yesterday (she is the primary applicant) and mine hasnt'. I saw had 2 LUDs with her (8/28, 8/29) but nothing after that.

Is this something peculiar to Schedule A (maybe to conserve numbers?), I don't know, but with the October/November Retrogression, I would have preferred bot h of us to get thru. Anyways, let me know more about your story and if you have any updates. I will share the same with you.

Generally folks, what are the reasons for delaying the dependent approval in the case of a derivative application?

spouse I 485 delayed

Any other TSC Schedule A or general 485 applicants in the same situation? Primary applicant approved, dependents pending?

Schedule A is for Registered Nurses, Physical Therapists and possibly other special categories.

It may be because they have approved but not updated in the computer system. But when they mail primary applicant card, probably they will also mail derivate green card. and at that time they will update online status for both applicant saying that "card has been mailed". May be within a week our real status wil be known?

Hoping for the best!

i doubt it. We will need our individual 485 apps approved in addition to our spouses, I am curious to find out if we are some of the few such cases, or is it a general trend that primary applicant and dependent get approved at separate times. If so why such a thing happens. And also, if there are a lot of Schedule A folks, in such a boat lately. I would appreciate if all ppl on this forum in similar situation, provide their details.

 Could you please explain Name Check business you have mentioned here?

I agree with you on the principle (my I-140 with RD of April 18 got approved 2 months later). Still, only because some TSC departments work fast, it doesn't mean they ALL do (although there have been a few surprisingly fast I-485 approvals this year)... Plus this whole name check business - which we apparently now can't even check on until RD is 30 days past the official processing time chart... But how I wish you were right!!!
