++1 I had the same question. In general what documents do you need to show consulates/embassy? I have I-94 and EAD (A5 category), will that suffice?
My GC application is still pending, RTD is still pending.
But I was thinking to apply for some visas as they might take some time. I do have my NP and plan to get the visas in it.

was your asylum granted based on political grounds?

Hi!

Travelled outside the US with my COP passport issued to me long before the persecution started. The country I traveled to is NOT a COP. It was some other country where I went to meet my mom for vacation. My lawyer said it was okay as long as I do not renew the COP passport in the future. I DID NOT renew it. I obtained a RTD after and travelled 2 more times outside the US with it. Will the officer ask me about this one trip and can I explain that it was a lawyer's advice and that the COP passport was issued before persecution started?

Non political.
Thanks a ton! Can I please get an answer to my above question?

Does a refugee travel document have a number? Is the number the same as one's A number or is it a different number? I am trying to make a visa appointment, but they need my travel document number which I don't have yet because I haven't received my TD yet.

Yes that is a good explanation and reason. Remember, only explain IF THEY ASK.

Your RTD has both your Alien number and passport number which are not the same. Unfortunately you can’t know what the passport number will be before it’s delivered. When did you apply for RTD?

Funny thing is, when I applied for visas they always used my A number as my document number.
