Receipt Nrs

Do we get seperate Receipt numbers for 485, EAD and AP respectively?
I received my notice today from my lawyer for my 485.
RD : JUNE 25 2007
ND : AUGUST 1 2007.

Finally, USCIS Texas Service Center cashed my checks on 08/06/07 for I-485, I-765 and I-131 applications.
I got receipt numbers from back side of the checks.
By the way, my received date was 06/27/07.
Good luck everybody.
 
Just corrected my information.
Also received an email for my son and wife. USCIS updated that they ordered EAD for both of them. But nothing for me regarding EAD

Hi Folks,
I am new to this forum. Every one telling they are getting receipt numbers by calling USCIS. But, yesterday I called 1-800-375-5283. I used some options at last it reached some lady. She said we can't find your details without receipt numbers. But I am seeing people getting receipt numbers by calling USCIS. Can any one suggest me, how to get my receipt numbers. If you provide me phone number and options that would be really great help for me. Thanks in advance for your information.
My I-485 documents reached(Thru FedEx) on July2nd at 10.30AM to NSC. So far, No news. Please help me.

Did you file at NSC or TSC on Jun 27th ?. Did you get your notice from NSC or TSC ?. Are they keeping the original RD in your receipt ?

My lawyer send that to TSC. My receipt is in fex-ex. In next couple of hours I'll get that then I'll publish details.
 
USCIS receipt info

I called 3 days back. A nice lady picked up phone she told me 24th Aug is drop dead date before they could help locating any receipt. I was advised to wait till then.

From my personal point of view, don't disturb USCIS guys. If it is done it is done. I know, it is difficult and waiting and no information does not help but ....

When you call customer service - 800-375-5283 after you choose option # 1 for English I think, please follow instructions carefully so that you will be lead to an immigration officer (IO). Following are the options you choose if I remember correctly:

option # 2 - - - option # 2 - - - option # 6 - - - option # 2 - - - option # 2 - - - option # 1

Once you get to speak to the first person, do not tell them about 'money orders' as the first person who comes online is probably from a call center. Just tell that person that you have sent your papers to NSC and it has been more than a month and then hopefully you will be lead to an IO. Once you have the IO, just tell the person (both the times I called, they were guys and are very nice) your name and date of birth and he/she should be able to tell you if they have opened your packets and receipted and/or rejected. If the IO says that 'money orders' are not accepted and that your papers have been returned, make sure if they have allotted a number (SRC in case of TSC). In my opinion you should be fine even if you send back the papers after a couple of weeks.

As you said i have called that number and followed all options and as we expected first person was from call center. Then i told her about my i-485 filed date and said it is more than 30 days and asked her, is there any possibility to find my case status ans also to transfer to IO, if possible. Then she said we can't transfer to IO until 90 days from the filed date. Is there any chance of talking with IO and find out my case status.
Please help me....

I also had same experience. I mailed my application on June 27 and have not recieved reciept notice. The lady at the call center said due to heavy volume, they won't transfer the call to IO until 90 days. Earlier it was 4 weeks.
 
06/27/2007 and later

Does anyone recieved Reciept notice for AOS applications send on or after 06/27/2007 ?

I have not recieved it and they are asking me to wait for 90 days before contacting IO

I am in the same boat....still waiting!
 
Received Finger Printing notice today 8/10/07 for both myself and spouse.
Notice Date and Mailing Date is 8/6/07.
Appt. Date for both is 8/25/07.

Still not received the receipt notices for 485/765/131. Maybe the lawyer has received it and not given it to me yet. Will bug him on Monday.
 
Received FP notices

I have received FP notices, but different appointment date for me & wife. Wife on 08/16/2007 and for me on 08/20/2007.

I have to travel 3hours for USCIS center. So just thiking the possibilities of giving FP on same day. Does anyone know that we can request them and give FP on same day 08/16/2007?
