Situation. Need Help.

Friends :

I am not sure if I am posting this question in right thread or not.
My attorney (Dumbest creature on this earth) filed my I-485 (AOS) application on 30th June, 07 recd. on 2nd July at 10.45 am. I was under this impression that all 3 stages 485/765/131 were filed along to uscis.. but I was wrong. My attorney only applied for 485 saying that they were very busy and will file for 765 and 131 (EAD and AP) after we get 485 adjudicated.. BS..

Anyways.. My question is.. since 485 was mailed out via attorney's office, can I go ahead and apply for 765 and 131 on my own, bypassing attorney's effort or am I stuck with them to wait for their mood-swings to go ahead and file my papers. The deadline with old fees application is 30th July as per the news bulletin. I dont want to waste time for 485 to get adju. and then file for 765/131.

Please advise me about this situation. Also I don't have any proof of 485 application being submitted. I only have tracking number of Fedex that the application was delivered on 2nd July. GOSHH.. pls. advise me.

got receipt numbers by calling NSC.

got receipt numbers (all 6 numbers - 3 for me, 3 for my wife) by calling NSC.
Now waiting for FP notice which I hope to get by 08/20/07 inshAllah.

For what it's worth .. trackitt shows TCS is still processing June 20/21 filers. Nebraska is doing faster, processing June 26/27 arrivals now.
 
Ok, I called USCIS and got news for you.
My 485/131/765 was sent on 6/26 to Nebraska and still not in the system.
The person on the phone was very helpful and told me:

.Nebraska will enter all June 485s to the system by August 1st, Texas is slower.
.Nebraska is planning to send all RNs by the end of August. Texas will take more time.
.They cash your checks right after they receive your package, sometimes it takes some time to enter the case to the system, but check is already cashed and you can get your case numbers from the back of your check.

Receipt Notice

My file includes I-485, EAD & AP is received on June 27, 2007 (Fedex tracking) by Texas Service Center, but still no receipt notice.
Please let me know if there is someone who is in similar situation or who has already got receipt notice.

Ozzy,

I am in a similar situation. My application reached on 26-JUN-2007. I checked today with USCIS and they said my petition is not in the system yet. The officer asked me to check back sometime next week.

i have also not rcvd june 25th

I have sent 485 on june 25th and reached uscis in TCS on 26th june i have not rcvd the receipt no yet , called cust service they told there are lot of application told to call back after 2 weeks
 
got receipt numbers by calling!

My checks were encashed, but it was really hard to read the Receipt numbers from the back of the check, so I called USCIS and got the receipt numbers.

My notice date will be 07/25/07
 
Any idea how long to wait before calling USCIS to get the reciept numbers. It has been 30 calendar days for me already
