1. Obtain passport

5. Enjoy new status as US citizen

What do you think? Anyone else have any ideas?

Other possibilities:

Serve as an elected official
Eligible to become an officer in the armed forces
Federal employment and/or security clearances

There's probably more, but I'll leave it to others to think them up.

Never ever having to carry your green card with you. Never having to file change of address.

That said anyone knows how to take part in the caucus? My state caucus will be after I naturalize next month and I would like to use my new found right:)

For me it was like this,
Post thank you to group.
Actually do my work without checking case status by calling uscis about 10 times a day.
Furiously begin working on my husband's I-130:D

I will travel to Germany or France or Italy and stop over on the way to Turkey and enjoy not having to go through the hassle of obtaining visas from them..
Of course, that's if i get my citizenship before i decided to move to Alaska and be a loner permanent resident.. :)

Never ever having to carry your green card with you.

You know, until recently, I had no idea that carrying your green card at all times is mandated by law. I've always kept it in a safe with my other important documents.

Oh, and probably the single most important thing that people do once they obtain citizenship......NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT NAME CHECK! :D

One thing doesn't really change is RANDOM CHECK:mad:

Speaking of random check...here's a random piece of information. Continental Airlines definitely profiles younger people when selecting passangers for random screenings. My fiancee and I were flying from San Antonio to New York this past August, and we were pulled into a plexiglass corral during initial screening. We were informed that we were selected for random screening. Along with us, a couple of other passengers in their 20s were pulled aside and subjected to the same screening. Something told me that it wasn't a coincidence.
