We got Biometrics appointments for April 7th. Can anyone tell what is this about and how much time it will take once we get there.
And after this how long will take for 140 approval.

I got mine done last year in April in New Orleans. Including the wait and actual biometrics, I think it took about 2 hours. But the time will vary based on location.
Biometrics are for your GC (485). Biometrics in no indication of progress .... I know that for a fact.
 
Sep 12, 2001 : Priority date of substitued labor (CA)
Jan 26, 2006 : RD. Filed I140 at CSC using above. I work in CA
Mar 21, 2006 : LUD. Case transferred to TSC.

The last week or so, CSC is transferring cases to TSC to share the work load.
 
How is this possible? As of Mar 20, 2006 TSC says its processing applications with RD Jan 4, 2006. Then, how are some posts above, ppl who filed in Feb and March get approved. Dont they update the processing times or whats going on. Pl explain.
 
Processing Times

I do not think there are concrete rules. If there were, my wife's RD is February 13th, she would also get her EAD. There are no updates on our case yet. So I don't think that those processing times tell you anything.

We got our EADs approved on 3/15 with receipt date of 2/21/2006. We are waiting for 140 with the same receipt date. but got the biometrics scheduled for April 7th.

Thats true. the processing date says something , and they approve cases just like that. We never expected our EADs to get approved so soon since the processing date was showing some thing different.
 
CSC to TSC

Hi All,

My Case being transfer from CSC to TSC too.
It seems to me that TSC is much more faster, already approving case in Feb for I140, am i right ?

Atleast in this thread and related ones, ppl report 140 approvals in a month or so. Another website mentioned an avg wait time of 35 days. Or it could be other way around that those who are pending are not updating too..

It will not be Feb any more :) Since 15,000 CSC cases (I140/485) are transfered here and most of them are before Feb. I would see the processing day push back to Sept or Oct 05

Has Anyone got approved after the Transfer ?
 
Let us update our info in this attached spreadsheet. That way we will be able to track the progress and trends within the Texas Service Center. I have added some members on the spreadsheet based on the info provided in this thread. I can continuue to update the info as it is posted by the members here or you may update it if you wish! Good luck everyone! Hopefully the service center consolidation should be beneficial to everyone!
 
nice tracker - comments section too small - never got my EAD cards in the mail (what a nuisance)....next week will show what appointment after 90 days can do...

Don't know How long we have to wait for everything to be done.

Thanks creative10 for putting together the excel file.
I also have an excel would like to share. It is for refernce only. Not much use but useful to compare between the real senario and what processing center had been posting.

Basically the processing time for Eb2 Advance Degree for CSC and TSC in the past one year or so..

Take a look you will understand.

Did you file your I-140 and I-485 conccurently? I didnt know that is possible during retrogression?

I have my I140 approved (got a email from USCIS).

03/27/03: PD: LC(EB3) in CA
12/27/04: Transfer to Dallas Backlog Center
08/25/05: LC CERTIFIED
09/27/05: received LC hardcopy
10/21/05: RD: I-140 in CSC
03/21/06: Transfer I-140 from CSC to TSC
04/06/06: I-140 CERTIFIED
