September - Visa Revalidation Tracking

Guys,

I need your help here, my SL date is Sept 5th, I have ticket for Dec 23rd, do you think i would make it or should i move my ticket to after new year ?

My guess is, you will make it comfortably with week-10days. But don't blame me, its' only a guess.

My SL date is 3rd Sept and my ticket is 30th Dec.

Can someone clarify this for me.

Dept of State says on their visa reval website 'Please use your address as the “from” address on the return airbill or the self-addressed envelope.'


How is this possible. If the 'from' address is your own address then what is the 'to' address on the return airbill.


What did you guys fill for the 'from' and 'to' fields on the return courier airbill.

in my case fedex did not accept that and so i put the Office visa address as from address

Can You guys give me some estimate on the visa processing time? According to that I have to book my ticket. Please consider the holidays (Thanks giving, Christmas, New Year)

For your SL date of Sept 5th, since you haven't got your DC date yet most probably it should be somewhere around Sep 20 hopefully. The earlier the better. So personally I think(and hope) you should receive your pp before Dec 23. Perhaps if you can get your DC date you will be in a better position .

By current indications, you should be all set. I am pretty much in the same boat. I fly on 1st Jan and my SL date is 4 Sep. The only unknown factor here is the Thanksgiving holidays. We never know how many visa officers will go on leave and how badly processing times will be affected due to the holiday mood!
Guess we should just keep our fingers crossed!

I don't think they would be processing by DC receive date, they would process by SL receive date.

If what you said is true then all passports should be processed in SL date first in first out sequence.

But as we have seen on this forum if X has a DC date earlier than Y but Y has SL date earlier than Y , passport for X seems to be processed earlier.


What do others think.

Processing Time

Visa revalidation processing currently takes approximately 10-12 weeks from the date your application is data-entered in the Visa Office in Washington.

so the DC date is the keydate for processing . DC people would concern only their Date(FIFO from their Date )

THey process according to the DC recieved date. As of today they are processing sep16th(dc) dates.

I just got my passports by Fedex right now. They are stamped on 11/20. So my details are-

SL - 09/05
DC - 09/16
Stamped - 11/20
Rec - 11/21

I had sent 2 passports too.
when I gave her the new pp number she was not able to find it, not even by last name, dob etc.
in the database it was under my old pp num.
so mention ur old pp num.
