I got almost the same result from scanned 294 series. They touched a few cases from 1/20 through 1/22. Then they seemed to work on backlog from the beginning. I guessed the "Random Processing" or "FP Expiry Theory" will not work anymore because they don't want to leave any evidence to lawsuit. I'm waiting for 2nd FP notice.

Yes, there is no theory concept. 'FP expiry' and 'EAD Renewal' did not work for me. Now, I may get 2nd FP notice anytime.

No, I haven't got 2nd FP notice yet. Yesterday, I called BCIS and the lady there told me that if BCIS will need they will ask for 2nd FP so it does not matter whether your FP is expired or not.
I asked to talk to 2nd level Officer and she said i can't because she already replied answer of my questions. I don't know why i called them?
Even application for EAD renewal did not help in my case. Very frustrated, especially after seeing all those early approvals of Sept. and Oct.
This thread is not so active. I think, we have less applicants of Sept. 2002.

Whats the use of being active ?
I am a Sept filer ...the thing is what's the issue of being active
in threads like these ? Will it speed up my approval ? Will
it be of any help ?
Sounds frustrating but just take a look at how this country
works..
Pakistan is the lead ally in the fight against terrorism ....in other
words this nation is most cmofortable with the most crooked
evil in the universe....
Saddam gets kicked out so that some Ayatollah Mullah takes
his place..i.e they are comfortable with working with such
Mullah's.
Legal Immigration goes to hell....undocumented workers are
a priority....
Can't you use your brains ..stitch all of the above and
find out what's happening to our cases ? Can't you see how
this nation works ?
Tommorrow if BCIS says they have lost all applications because
some rodents ate them up.....do you think any Govt or any
Senator or any Congressman or anyone will even wink ?
So that's where we stand....

how your application can possibly be expedited....keep

It is not silent observers, rather it is frustrated observers. I have reduced checking my status online from daily to weekly basis to fortnightly basis and now to montly basis. I had my hopes up when my friend who had a Nd date in july got approved in late nov. Now i am disinterested and am waiting for the official notice from INS. I got my second EAD and it is not 4 months when i will apply for the third Ead. I sincerely hope i get it before that.
Life waiting for GC is not fun. THe sense of anticipation is now turned into cynicism abt everything.

What's wrong with you guys? No one is asking you to be active if you don't want to be. Being active is not having fun but to see reality that you are not alone here. We are here for mutual support as we all are on same boat.
Frustration - I know that very well, I am very much frustrated. I also do not want to check status and forget about it. But I do visit this site and try to help anyone for whom I have a answer or at least few lines of sympathy. And the same way, I get help from other memebers of this site.
For me, being active is kind of sharing my thoughts, knowledge, experience and frustration, too.

Sorry to sound philosophical
Sorry if I sound cynical or philosophical, but these days
I just rethink ..was it even worth running after a Green Card
to be a permanent res of the US ?
I guess it may help when I start my own setup...I can travel
w/o hitches..the market is after all here ..its here that
you get clients.
But think about it...at least I think about it now......why am I
running behind a GC ?
I am from the world's best Engg School..I had heard long
stories about MIT and Caltech and Berkely and Stanford..and
what I now see is that I can beat them hands down....I can
join my buddies and build ( of course u need money ) the world's
best OS, the top - notch Database and beat the stupid
Oracle's and DB2's hands down. I am from a system where
my parents are not cursing me because I am staying with them
for more than 2 days...my neighbours are not stipulating how to
sue me...and my head of state is not a paranoid propaganda
master searching for evil men in every country of the world.
Look to the future....we can literally see this bloated wealth
coming down.. I mean do we have any doubts that consumer
spending and wealth ( both monetary and knowledge ) will
see an unstoppable boom in India and China in the next 10
or 20 years ? So where will my career be epicentred ?
Will it be in the US where I am groving for a Green Card ?
Call me a soothsayer...when it comes to immigration I see
something very funny happening...Indians who have become
citizens of US, UK ( and all other white people's or so called
SAHEB countries...sic ) lining up with their kids applying
for perm residency to INDIA ?????????????????)))))))))))))))))

I have seen your frustrated postings and your anger in I140 forum too. I was also hanging around at that time for my 140 to clear which I eventually(after 1 year) did.
Now it is the 485 fight. While I do agree and understand the frustration and anger (I do have the same. I have around 18 years of very relevant industrial exp and looking at the way I am being treated by some BCIS i*) people in this forum are only trying to keep our sanity at level. So please try to understand that. There is just no point in further aggravating that though I agree with your view.
