Labor approval and 7th year extn

Recently we got a 3 option letter and replied to that. I am expecting my labor approval to come in OCT. In the mean time my 6 years of H1 is about to get over.
Assumnig my labor gets approved this month, how can I file for 7th year extension (as my labor wont be pending for 365 days)?
If I apply for extension now and if labor is approved before H1 extn is taken up how will it work?

Apply for H1 extension ASAP. You will be fine even if you get your LC before H1 comes thru as all you need is "Labor Pending for 365 days" when applying for extension.
 
About DOT Code

Guys, need some help.

Who allocates DOT Job code. Is it SWA/EDD or DOL. Does it have any impact on LC.

My guess is its allocated based on job description. Am i right.

Is the following website working:
http://online.onetcenter.org/gen_crosswalk_page

I tried to enter the job code., "999.151-051" to do the cross walk search, it says "No DOT occupations matched your search for "999.151-051". Is the webiste working properly.

My app has been classified under this (999-151-051) dot code. It is for computer system analysts.
 
My labor has been certified yesterday. :)

Small company in bay area with few layoffs. Requirement was BS + 3 years

SESA RD : 04/12/2002
DOL RD : 03/03/2003
DOT CODE : 999.151-032
CERTIFIED : 10/04/2004

What is the status for I-140 in California? How long that takes to get approve?

Will you advise a person to go for Consular processing (CP) than applying I140 and 485 together?

No. I would not go for CP, as I-140/485 concurrent processing becoming faster & faster everyday.

Yes, still process Mar 10th. These are some of the certified cases on Oct-5:

Presidential Elections Impact on LC Processing

Hi GP111 and GC Gurus,

The Presidential Election is just around the corner. Will this cause a delay in the LC processing? I'm not much worried about I-140/I-485 at this point of time. Do you have any article/history which shows the impact of Presidential Elections on LC Processing?

I am surely not GC guru but I don't think this has any impact. The only impact is when you want to get favorable regulations passed as their attention is diverted and priorities changed.. the way perm is hung up.. IMO
 
Got 3-option letter in August. But our department has been spun-off from the original company, my current new company filed the re-test report for me, any one has the similar experience? Any chance to get approved?

My lawyer said "have chance" but I don't think I have big chance.

How many years experience (BS+??)
I was told people are doing well and getting many approvals after retest.

I don't worry about the re-test, the result is fine (MS+0), but DOL may not accept the company change, since it's not a whole company merge, only a department.

DOL response time for 3-option letter

Hi all, just learnt from my lawyer that he did receive the 3-option letter and has responded to it last week. Any idea on how much time DOL usually takes to respond to these?
