DOL acknowledgement

Hello all,

My application was transferred from State to Federal (CA) on Jan 7th 2004. It has been almost 9 months. My company still havn't received receipt/acknowledgement. Can anyone whose application was trasferred in this period got their acknowledgement? Good luck to you all!

education evaluation question

Gp11 and Gurus need some help/suggestions...

My labor education and experience requirement was Bachelors degree(4years) with 2 years of experience.I have shown my education as bachelors degree(3 years in computer science) and Masters degree(3years in computer science) and post experience as 4years in the labor.I also have got valid post graduate diploma(1year) but I have not specified in the labor.In order to prepare my education evaluation for the future steps(140&485) I need some advise on the best way of preparing my education evaluation...Please note that It will be go under EB3 category.

1)Is it better to prepare the education evaluation as Bachelors degree(3years) + Masters degree(3years) and show them it is equialant or more than the bachelors degree?

2)It it better to prepare the education evaluation as Bachelors degree(3years) + post graduate diploma(1year) and show them it is equialant to the bachelors degree? PLease note that I have not specified the post graduate diploma(1year) in my labor as my education.

Any help/Suggestions will be appreciated.Thanks.

I have seen people BS+24 months getting certifications OK, not sure if I will go thru this...

3 option letters are issued by DOL and not SESA also this is issued when your case is taken up for processing

I have known cases where receipt never came but cases were approved. Call AVM and enter your employer's phone number to see if you find any cases during that timeframe. This would be difficult if your co did many labors

We recently fired the attorney and want to make sure any future correpondance goes to the employer not to the attorney. Just want to verify if DOL has updated their records.

Ask your HR to fax on (415) 975-4660 with your return fax number & They will contact you back.
 
My LC was transferred around Feb-end 2004, and only recently did it show up in DOL AVM, after almost 7-8 months.

Call AVM, options 1, 2 and then enter your employer number (the number that was filled in the LC form) and it should tell you all the LCs from your employer currently at DOL.

Mine went to DOL on August 18th 2004, and shown up in AVM with in 5 weeks.

DOL Acknowledgement

My case was transferred to DOL SFO on March 11 2004 according to SESA Letter. So far my attorney did not received any acknowledgement/receipt with case number from DOL . But when i called up AVM, there was no case on March 11, 2004, (thursday)but there is a case on March 15th 2004(Monday). I dont know, whether that is my case number? :confused:

DOL does not receive case from SESA on same day ( Transfer Day !).. Mine was transferred on Aug 08.2003 & DOL received on Aug 14th.

Hi Gp111,

Is there a way to find out the exact status of the case at DOL? My case RD is Feb 26, 2003 but it still says "Received" and my company's HR says, they didn't get anything from DOL. Please suggest the possible options to find out, what's going on there?

Received 3 option letter on June 24 the 2004
Responded on 19/Aug/2004

Certified on Sep 29 2004.

1. Are cases processed based on RD, case number, or DOT code?
2. Is case number sequential, for example, current new case number is assigned 09594xxx, and currently processed certified number is 09551xxx, does that mean there are over 23000 cases between?
3. What is DOT code formatted? My code is 999.151-081, what does that mean?

---- NO they are not sequential. On an average DOL received 1300 California RIR cases per month , so do your math.

3. What is DOT code formatted? My code is 999.151-081, what does that mean?

check http://www.bls.gov/soc/soc_majo.htm
ignore 999 & look for 15-1081
(15-1081 Network Systems and Data Communications Analysts)

Hi all,

My employer received the 3-option letter from DOL last week (RD 02/28/2003). Any suggestions on how to retest the labor market? Are there any cases in which LC was denied after doing the retest? Any advice is welcome!

I wonder what they did last whole week, 03/10 cases started on Spet 24 & still stuck on the same date..How much time it takes to process 225 cases !
