gp111- your input please

gp111,

If I cannot apply for the 485 but just I140 - how long do I have to continue working for current employer before I can change jobs ?

I am trying to understand the consequences of the retrogression ( if it happens )

Lets hope it doesn't .

You cannot use AC-21 for changing jobs till you pass 180 days of I-485 filing date. So you have to file I-485 (when PD becomes current) & wait for 180 more days to be eligible for AC-21..

But if Your employer is supporting you & if they agree not to withdraw I-140, file for I-485 whenever PD becomes current You can change jobs anytime with H1 transfer

My DOL RD is 05/06/04. Not sure if my case was sent to BEC or not. My attorney has not received any letter so far.

Hi GP111
How do you know that CSC is fast in I140/485?

Contratulations !, i am sure you will get next stage clear faster, since they do not have much applications to process anyway :D

Don;t know what will be scene after 3-4 months, when BEC starts clearing backlogs faster

I live in Seattle, WA. In case my LC gets approved, can I file the I-140/I-485 on CSC (which is faster) or should I have to file it with NSC, which to my understanding is taking 15 months to process I-140s ?!

If your LC is for Seattle you have to file at NSC.

Since here are a lot of gurus: Just one thing which is discussed in another thread. Where do all unopen cases from SESA go after Jan 01 2005 ? My understanding is that they go to NPC and not to BEC, is this correct ?

Thanks for the help.

All UnOpen Cases filed at SESA before Jan, 01 2005 will go to BEC while all the cases filed after Jan 01, 2005 will go to NPC

So does this mean that a new case filed on 1/1/05 (say) will be processed by NPC right away - much before BEC processes the unopened cases? This way is really unfair to the current pending cases at SWA/SESA!!
