something in Sept 2003 certified!!

Hi all,
Maybe someone can help me here. I just checked a random case # : 09573593 . It looks like it has been transferred to DOL on 9/22/03. But its been certified!!!. I am trying to undersdtand if this is from some other state other than CA (like AZ or Hawaii).. or did I just goof up while checking or have the Baclog reduction centers already active!!

The OCC(DOT Code) is 999-292-011 .. Can anyone throw some light on how to get the description for this OCC.

Change of work location during LC application

GP111 and friends

My LC certified two weeks ago. But I am back. Need your help with my situation since I can't find a good answer on the I-140 thread.

Situation:

Software consultant.
Company HQ in CA.
Applied LC 2.5 years ago from CA.
Changed job last year from SF to Chicago branch.

LC approved two weeks ago.

Question:
Now I am ready to file I-140. Since I have been working at Chicago office, would I be able to file I140/485 at CA?

If not, what can I do to be able to file in CA? Would change of job back to HQ in CA NOW solve the problem?

After LC approved, how many days do I have to file I-140/485?

### YES YOU SURELY CAN APPLY I-140/I-485 FROM CALIFORNIA without any problem or no other formality required as LC/GC is for future Job not the Current !!!

If not, what can I do to be able to file in CA? Would change of job back to HQ in CA NOW solve the problem?

### You may not need to move back to CA now, Your company can show the intent of hiring you back at california after you get your Green Card & you are good to go...

After LC approved, how many days do I have to file I-140/485?

There are no set time period & LC has no fixed validity period, but why wait ? Just apply I-140/I-485 / AP/EAD asap (Concurrent Filing), if you are EB2 you might get advantage of California Pilot Project & will get green card very soon... If I ware you, I will not waste a day...

good luck !

Timing questions

On An average how much time it will take to get to the case received in DOL June,16,2003 under RIR as per the current speed. Thanks in advance

Transferred to DOL from AZ state - 5th Sept, 2003

Got news yesterday from Lawyer that they got the approval letter. Do not know the exact date but assuming that it would have been approved in last 2 weeks.

No idea how it got approved so fast. Only logic would be that AZ state cases are being processed seperately as many application of the same time frame from my company got approved in last couple of months.

This forum has been an excellent source of information. Thanks a lot.

LC Certified

PD: Dec 3 2001
No RFE from State
RD: Dec 3 2002
3 option letter from DOL: Apr 5 2004
Replied on May 24 2004
Certified on Jun 1 2004
DOT code: 999-151-032
Company: Start up with 250+ employees in bay area with no layoffs recently. (5% were cut in 2002 though)

Heard this news on AVM. Glad to hear that.

Have been closely following this discussion forum for a while. Very very informative and recommended to many i knew. Big Thanks to everyone who shared the information. Special thanks to gp111. You deserve a "guru" title.

Observation in my case: When lawyers got the three option letter, our HR replied to lawyers in 9 days. (ad in paper, screening resumes, .....) but lawyers took more than five weeks to get back to DOL. I tried my best to push lawyers to return back to DOL immediately but with out any luck. Guys my point here is: we all know how frustrating and painful it is waiting years together on this process and no body understands except for us. If the same happens in your case, try pushing your lawyers [mind u: not to the extent that it would irriate them]. I and u all know how each day counts....

Wishing to very best for the ones waiting.

Regards, srk77

Can a LC be substituted if the LC has already got I-140 approved?

Hello,
If a LC is used in I-140 and got approval, but the foreigner doesn't want to proceed with I-485, can the LC be substitued by other people in the same job postition?

Well, DOL has been usually updating AVR system in less than three day cycles. Same goes with responses on this forum.

BTW, this thread is not for posting/advertizing canadian stuff.

you've raised the bar on immigration.com and DOL, neither does immigration.com have patrons to respond on a 3 day basis nor does DOL have the resource to approve in 3 day intervals!!!

Well thats what you think & know... we have seen a lot of approvals recently & have seen people sharing good news / information minutes after they get it... I would like to see those news first before reading news about France & Outsourcing....
