Best to drop me an e-mail. Regards to all.

PS We have an advocay software installed as well. Check it out:

Go to http://econstituent.votenet.com/immigration When you enter your ZIP code, the software tells you who your local congressman is.

Thanks Rajiv,

We will need your advice and help soon.
I guess, we will wait for few more days till we get good number of Volunteers. Then the volunteers can discuss about the course of action to follow.Off course, Project Ocean will be the first one on priority. I imagine, this will lead us to a place, where we have a step by step guide to follow for any newcomer, volunteers will provide details about their work in local district and upcoming activities in district, volunteers will vote about new set of action to be followed. etc. Whatever we want to do will be collectively decided by the group.

And many thanks to you for providing us a forum to discuss and unite.

We are actually developing a software to help you folks with this. Arvind, Monica, would you like to comment here for these folks?

Rajiv,
Are you talking about advocacy software you have (I included that link at the bottom of my signature) or is it something more than advocacy software.

oh no

A bigger, more complete project.

My thoughts - time to act is now!!!
Folks, here is what I have learnt and done:

1. Visited a couple of key senators last Friday. The sense I am getting is that they listen best when their own constituents participate.
2. Grass roots advocacy (without any fancy organization behind it) still has a big place in American Politics.
3. We need to get organized immediately.
4. I have asked my colleagues to invite participation from two (or many more) people from every State who are willing to visit their Members of Congress to discuss matters. We will coach everyone about how, what, where etc.
5. If any of you readers wish to be directly involved, please send an e-mail to me or to advocacy@immigration.com with your phone numbers and address so we can contact you.
6. Within the next week or two, I would like us to have a list of appx. 100 volunteers covering every state in USA.
7. I will prepare an agenda and the list of things we should start doing.
8. Siva and Eduardo, I can provide Server Space if you folks want to set up some kind of software for this.
9. In the mean time, keep doing what user webigy suggests.

Any other suggestions?

What is next? I would like to get started on this ASAP! I am really tired of waiting around! Do we have a plan of action or is it something that will be dealt with on the fly?

Kashmir,

I would like to work with you on Ishoo, is there anything specific that you want me to do?

Karma_yoga,
Thanks.

As said by you, before we contact we have to go with a more clear and standard one to follow. I totally agree with you.
I think we all need to work swiftly to get this out.

Cinta,
Once we are ready with how to present our case, may be we need to pull your resources to contact Congressman Robert Menednez.

I will closely work with kashmir from CA 14th district, to get this doc/procedure out as soon as possible. He has been very active on this front. We will we replicating what kashmir and few others did in their district. But so far no basic procedure/guideline is available. My first priority here is to get that done and update it to Project Symphony.

Thanks,

Hi, 140_takes_4ever,
For our representative Anna Eshoo, we need to give her office a time for a while.
Instead of that, we have to contact House, Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on Immigration to support Anna Eshoo's office.
Zoe Lofgren is a member of that subcommitte, so rk4gc is contacting her office to have a meeting with Congresswoman.
I'd like to contact another members but they are not in San Francisco Bay Area.

Another important activity is to contact Senator's offices.
We need to call to their Washington DC offices to find a contact person who can handle immigration issues.
Once you fax your letter to Senators, you can call and mention about ImmigrationPortal.Com.

I'm new to this forum and would like to suggest something. May be I'm not as smart as some of the guys on this forum are but in order to get great response from all the people(at the forum) we need to be very clear about the Plan of action. I had to jump from 1 thread to another to be clear, what to fax and where to fax. If we can be straight forward with 1 thread with subject as "Final POA" with nos. and what to send(content of the mail/fax etc.) I think we can get many people who come here everyday but get lost from navigating from links on every response.
No offence Kashmir and the team, you've done a great job but it won't do justice if the junta just looks at it and whoever understand the whole idea fax's it. Thousands of us should support.

Thanks

Thanks for your advice.
We understand the problem,
but simply we had no time to fix it.
However, it is being organized step by step.

We needed to take as much actions as possible at first.
The standard procedures would be following soon.
Thanks for your patience.
