That's correct.Congratulations! So, the 11 months’s waiting started on the filling date? If it was , you only waited 2 months after a year of approval ?! Thank you for further clarification!

Amazing!That's correct.
What exactly is not true ? I said you can file anytime after all it’s your money but whether it would succeed is another thing and it’s impossible to file mandamus and succeed within 16 days , please be careful about misleading information, to even have your lawyer do the process takes abt 2-3 weeks , to then file the case , after that the office would be notified and will decide if they want to fight the case , 16 days !!! If you got approval it has absolutely nothing to do with WOM!This is not true. You can file a mandamus after 6-months. I filed for mandamus in 2025, 11 months after I filed and my I-485 was approved 16-days after I filed mandamus without an interview.
It's better to ask questions than to be loud and wrong. How are you gonna disagree with me about something I did? What exactly is not true ? Okay , congratulationsIt's better to ask questions than to be loud and wrong. How are you gonna disagree with me about something I did?
It doesn't take 2-3 weeks to file a WOM.
I got approved 16-days after I filed a WOM pro se. A representative of the defendants contacted me less than 24-hours after my I-485 was approved and asked me to dismiss the case. If my approval had nothing to do with the WOM, why did a representative of the defendants contact me less than 24-hours after approval? Coincidence? I think not. I did a case that got approved 6-days after the defendants were served.
The defendants are legally required to respond within 60-days after being served. They can file a motion to dismiss/extend time or adjudicate your case. Adjudication times vary, some cases are resolved within days, weeks, months, and some are ultimately dismissed.
Here attached is an email from USCIS after I served them on Sep 24, 2025 and my case history.
To be honest, I noticed that you always make funny comments and try to mislead people. Once you even tried to mislead me... For the second time, I'm telling you, you're not a lawyer and don't try to mislead people. Also, you don't control what we want to say. This forum is for everyone... The funny thing when He posted the evidence, you didn't say sorry Iwaswrong, haha, you just said congratulations. Really, it's very funnyWhat exactly is not true ? You should ask your attorney, because it seems like as they gave you interview they dismissed your WOM(technically judge or your attorney can dismiss though) even you got your interview your WOM should continue/not dismissed until you get a decision.Hi Guys, I have a pending 485 which was submitted on 10/09/2023, and in September 2025, I filled WOM and triggered interview which I have completed today. Interview was smooth and lasted for 15 mins only. However, my case status changed to "Appeal/Motion was Dismissed" and hour ago. I have no idea what this means, I don't even submitted a motion any time.
I am checking withe the attorney. I called USCIS and they told me they dont see such update on their end, not even my interview. You should ask your attorney, because it seems like as they gave you interview they dismissed your WOM(technically judge or your attorney can dismiss though) even you got your interview your WOM should continue/not dismissed until you get a decision.
Will do for sure. Thank you for the advice. Will keep you guys postedJust make sure your attorney does not dismiss it until you receive a decision, he can pause it but should not dismiss it. Otherwise you will wait for the decision again.

This is really getting crazy. I filed my case on December 20, 2023, and the last time I called USCIS, they told me that the target date for my case was October 23, 2025. They said if my case wasn’t approved by then, I should call back and they would submit a service request.Average processing time for most green card applications based on asylum status has just jumped from 16.5 months to 19.5 months.
This is quite a jump given that last time this tool updated, it had went up by 1 month at the time but now it just went up 3 months.
This is due to how they are now processing applications by doing extra vetting, interviewing everyone, fingerprinting everyone and also government shutdown may have an effect.
I believe people who were granted but haven't filed should consider filing as the trend is not looking positive at all.

I was waiting to call them tomorrow, but now I see that the processing time has increased to 19.5 months. I’m confused — if they extended it by about 3 more months, then technically I should be able to submit a service request around January 23, 2026, but the system now shows April 26, 2026. any idea?
That 19.5 months is a reference to when they finish 80% of the applications. The remaining 20% can take more time. For ex. If my case was submitted in August-sep 2023 i am now well past the 19.5 months but they say i can only submit a case inquiry mid december. Normal case inquiry should be after 130% of the 19.5 months. Hope it is clear. You are currently at 22 months, even with the recent delay your case is outside normal processing and you should submit an inquiry regardless and as soon as you do, reach out to your congress folks cause USCIS response to your online inquiry will be a template response of "we are looking into it and give us 60 days to give you an actual response on your inquiry" another 60 days for a response not 60 days to process or approve your application
I noticed even when it said 16.5 months the tool below where you enter your filing date was delayed by about 3 months or so, for your situation if the tool doesn't want you to reach out to them until April 2026 that's 28 months from when you filed even though it should be done in 19.5 months per today's update.
Just submit the inquiry and start working your congress contacts.
I would advise that you dont pay too much attention to these online updates, sometimes they are confusing and make no sense, i saw a respected attorney on a blog say they dont even bother with it anymore, but it looks positive for the reason that theres activity. All the best and lets know outcome, so u filed WOM 6 weeks ago?6 weeks after we filed writ of mandamus..It is confusing we did not ask for rescheduling.
God deliver us from these messages which are indecipherable, it just adds to the tension, stay strong and all the bestHi Guys, I have a pending 485 which was submitted on 10/09/2023, and in September 2025, I filled WOM and triggered interview which I have completed today. Is it normal? 485 was based on approved asylum
