called IIO again regarding FP. conflicting answers

I call IIO again today. This guy told me that a FP notice was sent back in July. We never receive it. He said he is ordering another FP notice. I wonder what kind of database system they have. The first IIO i called back in December said FP notices had been ordered and waiting for Oregon to response. Then, second IIO i called last week, told me that our case is with an officer. Now, this. I am contacting congressman David Wu today. Today is exactly 1 year since we filed I485...

I guess if IIO said she is ordering for FP, hope you will get soon. When I called she said it is an automated system and I can\'t do anything. Each IIO gives differnt reasons. I saw some FEB/March cases getting adjusted and these guys are not even giving right answer for FP. Hope for the best. Good Luck.
 
no response from Congressman

Portland-OR, I sent my info. and request via the Consgressman David Wu\'s website and did not get an acknowledgement from them. I sent it last Tuesday. I know you received something from them. Did you send it directly to his immigration division or via the website? I wonder if I should send it again or call. thankx

This is driving me nuts. Where is our FPs.....

Hey Man,

You don\'t do these things from web site. I would suggest strongly to you to visit David Wu or Gordon Smith\'s office in Portland. At least call them & talk to someone on phone.

Reason is that I have a feeling that there may be a screw up in Portland cases filed at NSC. I have been noticing following things over last 1 year

1. Portlanders always get their FPs late if they have filed from NSC.
   (Portlanders who has filed I485 at CSC & VSC have been getting their FPs in 5-6 months time. I know this for fact)

2. So far at least I do not know anybody from Portland, OR has got his approval in last 3-4 months from NSC. I know one fellow called PORTLAND485 has his RD/ND in February, but don\'t know what has happened to him. I am really worried about this.

May be I am imagining things here, but it will be better if there will be some queries from Senator\'s & congressman\'s office goes to NSC. It might help Portlanders.

Hi inimacam, Yes I got an acknowledgement E-mail from Congressman David Wu\'s office,but nothing more than that. I guess you call his Portland office, although I submitted my request through his website. I didn\'t received any response from Senator Smith. I guess these guyes are pretty busy politican, they don\'t care what we peole email them.
             What is your RD/ND. Yesterday I called INS Nebraska and talked to a woman IIO. First she was surprising that I didn\'t got FP, but then she said your file is pending and you will here something by next month. Let us hope for the best.
 
Got a letter from Senator

Last month I contacted our Senator, and today I got a letter from him, that I am scheduled to be FP in April. He contacted INS on my behalf, and INS said originally they have prepared FP letter in May 2001, but because of computer fault it was not posted. They will be sending a letter before March 30. I hope this time it will work. When I talked to INS myself or through my Attorney I could not get a firm answer. So for all those Oregonian who are still waiting, I will suggest contact Congressman or senator. Good kuck to everybody.

Portlanders are getting raw deal from NSC. I hope all the queries from Portlanders thru\' Senator & Congressman will make some change how they process Portland cases at NSC.

No I am still waiting. NSC is processing Feb & March cases. So I am waiting.

How about your FP progress? I think you should go after David Wu, Gordon Smith & third senator( I am forgetting his name). If you are not getting any response from Wu\'s office then call again. He is running for congress again, so he should be helpful.

Meanwhile do you happen to know anybody from Portland who has got approval from NSC in last 3-4 months?

AVM said RFE sent. odd...

Checked AVM last night, RFE sent on 2/25 for me but not for spouse. No FP still. what does that mean? Is it possible to get approved without FP? kinda doubt it. Well, hopefully will find out soon what that RFE is about once i receive it.

I think this is a blessing in disguise. Look at this from positive angle. At least they have opened your file (They have not lost it) So they know that your FPs are still due. Regarding RFE even if you have got your FPs done before you still would have got RFE. So hang in there buddy. I think this is just a procedural delay & there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Please post whenever you receive your RFE.

I guess this is good development

It is REF but think it as positive development. I guess file was pending somewhere and IIO somehow brought it up. So it is OK. Whenever you reply your REF, that IIO have to send you FP notice. Good luck man.

Sorry guys, I wasn\'t visiting the site in the last couple of weeks and hence did not respond or report my progress or lack of it. I did not visit the site for two reasons: 1) I was a little busy at work. 2)Seeing 485 approvals even for August applicants (seen one) adds stress. Don\'s mistake me, I am happy that those guys are getting approved.

I got an RFE. Even receiving the RFE took quite sometime. The RFE was generated on Jan22 and my attorney received it on Feb 15. The RFE asked to show evidence of employment. It took a little while to get a letter from our company and the related brochures. We should be sending a response tomorrow.

Regarding the FP, the saga continues....

good to hear from you. I think we all going to get our approvals. I think as soon as your RFE is received at NSC, they will send you FP notices. So hang in there & do visit the site.

it sure feels like things are moving a bit. let\'s hope everyone here gets the approval soon. i think having this discussion tread has helped us a lot. at least i don\'t feel like i\'m alone without supports from others. thanks guys and good luck to everyone.
