"This case has been approved. On March 21, 2005, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283."

Message on last 2 emails:
"On March 21, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."

Congratulations. I am very happy to see somebody's approval within weeks after Fingerprints.
My dates are also very close to yours. Here are my details. Just curious what will happen next because my H1 6 yr period expires by April 15 and still in dilemma whether to apply for 7th yr ext.

LC PD: March 21, 2002 (EB2, RIR)

LC Approved: May 2003
I-140 ND: Jun 2003
I-140 AD: April 2004
I-485, EAD (for myself and spouse) ND: May 20, 2004.
AP(I-131) ND: Feb 07, 2005
FP done: 03/04/05.
Waiting for AP and I-485.
H1(6 years) expires Apr 15, 2005.
 
485 approved 3/21..

LUD changed after 485 approved.. no message change than Approved message, is this normal

anybody same experiences, please share.

It also happened to me. I think there is nothing to worry about, is pretty normal, I have read that it happened to other people too.

Does I-485 approval in EB2 also depend on country of origin?

Does USCIS check the country of origin for I-485 approval in EB2 category also? I know that retrogression doesnot apply for EB2 but just curious. However recently I heard that few of my friends filed under EB3 category and who fall under retrogression whose PD are after 2002 were approved as well.
My PD is in March 2002, EB2 and ND of I-485 is May 20, 2004. Just curious what happens now because I am seeing some approvals recently. We gave FP on March 04, 2005 and the status changed to FP received. This is the first LUD change after I-485 was received. The previous one was in May 2004 with received status.
Dont know what happens next.

Though the retrogression dates affect EB3 it is moving each month. Now for EB3 PD is April 2002 .
Also they also chk for 485 processing dates irrespective of EB2 or EB3. They r now processing MAr 2004 applications. Thats why ur freinds got approved .
Since you have applied for 485 only in May you may have to wait for 1-2 month.

Yes, I understand that. But one of them filed in June or July 2004 which is after me and got approved in Dec 2004, I think. His PD must be somewhere early 2002. Probably the retrogression rule didnot apply by Dec 2004 and he got it lucky. The other one must have filed 485 in March 2004 and I think got approved like 2 months back. Anyway they should consider themselves very lucky. I dont know more details about their cases but both are EB3 and from effected countries and PD later than 2002. Both of them got FPs in 2004.
I know of a case in EB2 with PD early 2002 and 485 filing date Nov 2003, FP dec 2004 still waiting.
Yes, We just have to wait until our turn comes.

I-485 December 2002 case approved!!

After 27 months of waiting... my husband's case is finally approved on March 22, 2005! He had FP2 in September 2004 and one LUD on November 15, 2004, no RFE for his case. There was no LUD between November 2004 and the approval date.

Our lawyer sent an enquiry to VSC in January followed by an EAD renewal application in February. I guess one of these actions helped our case to be noticed by the agents at VSC...

Good luck to the rest of you who are still waiting for your approvals. Especially the 2001/2002 filers. Your day will come!

1) how many business days the approval notice takes to arrival in mail generally.

2) does it go to lawyer and the beneficiary or beneficiary only.

1) For me it took 7 days after approval.
2) You will get courtesy copy.

Hello everybody,

I was one of those silent visitors for a past couple of months and just wanted to thank everybody on this forum for help in the moment of distress. I got approved on March 21., my wife still pending approval. Date of receipt is April 2003, one rfe and finally six years long journey is over. Now I am trying to schedule infopass app in Newrak which obviosly is not easy job since they booked out, but I'll handle that after all this years. :)

April 2003 I485 approved

Our I485 applications were approved on March 25, 2005. This forum kept me going-thanks to all the participants/moderators.

I485 ( RD April 03)/I140 EB1(RD Jan 03)
I485 RFE: 1/19/05, RFE reply received 2/11/05
LUD change: 5/03(FP1), 10/04(FP2), 1/05(RFE issue), 2/05(RFE reply)
I485 AD: 3/25/2005
 
My RD is April 2003 concurrent filling. I don't know if I am EB2 or 3 (I think 3), no interview, just one rfe(evl, tax,pay stubs...) and three weeks later approval. Wife approval still pending. I made an appointment in Cherry Hill for stamping.

New 485 Approval Notice Message

Recieved 485 approval notice today 3/28. week after approval.

Notice says,

Case approved. Immigrant Card Facility will mail card directly. If you dont recieve card in 120 days call Cust Service.



Apart from the above 2 lines nothing is mentioned.


Got 2 same copies for Self(Primary), 1 copy for Spouse.




Does this mean no need to go to PP Stamp..


Anybody in the same boat? Please share , I have infopass appt set up for
Monday April 4th.. Should I go or not??

Btw, my FP was Code 3, Electronic..
