Hi archer747,
Congrats!
Can you tell us what the email said? As in does it only say the 485 has been approved or does it say they ordered cards as well? A few people including me got the email about the approval but the letter we got later says we have to wait for them to schedule fingerprints again. Most of the ones I saw were EB3.

Finally got the magic emails. Approved! :D

However the message for me & my spouse says - On April 21, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

But he message for my son says - This case has been approved. On April 21, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours.


Do you know why the difference. When will my son's card be ordered.

Approved Finally.....aftera long long wait

Received 4 emails of approval at 5:00pm on 4/19/2006.

EB3
PD - Dec 2000
RD - April 2002
FP1 - May 2003, FP2 - Aug, 2005
Name check took the maximum time.. 2.5 years

Good luck to all who are still waiting....just a matter of time

I found the meaning of LUD. No I did not get any LUD for I-485.
It was a pleasant surprise.Infact I called the National service centre two weeks before my approval and I was given a referal number my the immigration personnel and i was asked to wait for 30 days, but to my surprise, i saw this approval after two weeks.

485 Approved

Finally our (mine and Spouse) application are approved. See below for details.

I was a silent reader of this tracker for the past few years. I have found this tracker very helpful in many ways.

Both our application were filed together. Both of us had our finger printing together. We got our AP/EAD approved almost at the same time (mine came 1 day after my spouse).

My priority dates become current this month.

My I-485 message never changed from the beginning. After my finger printing, just had a LUD. I never got a message saying that finger printing results received and case processing resumed. The first message change on my 485 application was that it was approved. Both of our cases were approved on the same day.

Good luck for all the others that are waiting for their turn.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Did you get an e-mail for approval ?
My LUD changed on 4-16/4-17/4-18 after RFE received on 4-14-06 for 485. I have not heard anything since then. Wonder if it means a denial?

My 485 Receipt date was 2/9/05, and they were processing 03/15/05, there is a 30 day gap. So, that gave me a chance to call them. The agent asked "did you move?" I said yes, and she said you should call us when you move. She took all the details, and after 2 days, got the approval.
No LUDs straight approval.
Now I see LUD on my wife's 485 yesterday and today. Hopefully it will be approved soon. Croos the fingers!
sch1086: Yes, I got an email that says "approval notice mailed". Waiting for approval notice to arrive.
All other details are in my signature.

Card Ordered

Hi Guys,

The cards were ordered for both of my kids, but no LUD changes for myself and my wife. Anybody has any experience like that. Please share.

Hi All, Few question for GC gurus....

1) How long it will take to receive actual cards after 485 approval email.

2) who will receive GC ? Me or my employer... ?

3) After receiving 485 approval email.. am i still dependent on my current employer... Am asking this question.. b'coz i want to change that employer but i didn't received my cards yet...

I am not experienced with cards (hoping to be there soon though) but it would be logical for USCIS to send via regular mail that should not be more than 5 to 10 business days.

You will receive the card. It's yours not your employers.

You have not been dependent on your employer for a while now. However its best to wait till you recd the card so you can use that for W4 purposes at new employer. New employer will ask for some sort of employment authorization, you will likely need to provide a copy of GC card but given the timing you may even be able to start now and let them know to wait on the W4 until you get the card in the mail.

I called 3 weeks back they said security check pending.
I called 1 week back they said Security cleared yesterday and She said she is putting the cases in for Review.
Online status message changed yesterday and Recvd emails.
I kept checking this site without posting anything.
