arb123,
2 to 3 weeks after you get the email, you will receive a usps mail from NSC. Most problably, the contents of the mail would be, your I-89 was received/being reviewed/reviewed etc..., it will take 12-18 months to process and generate plastic cards....
This has become standard from NSC....

Thanks Peace_of_Mind for your reply

You said.... after talking to immi. officer..., how did you get a chance to talk to the immigration officer directly!!!
You also mentioned... you sent G-731 N..., by what mode..., USPS, Fax ???
if Fax..., please share the fax number. Thanks

I called the regular 800- number, as usual a CSR answered (took details) and i told her that "I have not received any Welcome Kit and Permanent resident Card after my approval of Adjustment of status through employment in April" . She dont have much information about that and told me that, you will be connected to Immi. officer.
Waited for 18 min.. Guy is nice and took all the details
and said your file is in Nebraska Serivce center. and asked me to file G-731N.
But i filed 731N 2 weeks ago. I am not 100% sure what triggered to change the message " as card ordered" yesterday..

I filed G-731N in Registered Mail.. If you download the form you have all the details in there. You can change the address through that form or inquire about permanent resident card.

Is the card processing also center by center? if yes, is other center faster? I don't see why printing a card is so hard. My employer make an id card for me in about 3 minutes.

How much does it typically table to get the welcome kit? I got my PP stamped on Nov.22'04 and submitted photos, etc. Are there other forms that I need to fill out (G-731N or others)?
Thanks.

Is there anyone with PP stamping in August 2004 or after have recieved the plastic card. Just trying to see if I am alone or it is usual processing.
Thanks.

Is G731 form is something you fill and send? I have initiated enquiry 2 times over phone since PP stamping(June), no result, both time I received a letter from INS saying it takes 12-18 months.
I will be moving to new place in few days just wondering if it will screw it up.
Damn this INS, even after being approved, one is not in shanti.

For G-731N, in box "3. Port of Entry/Office" what exactly needs to be filled?
What about Box "5.Date Entry of Adjustment"?
Do we need to fill and send both the pages?
Thanks,
Udaya

I have the same question

Yes, could someone help?

Port of Entry = Office of Stamping or Port of entry last time (say, using AP)?

Date Entry of Adjustment (poor English?) = date of PP stamping, or 485 aproval????, or date of entry at customs last time ???

Please help.
