Gcia-longway, did you apply both 140 and 485 at once or did you apply for 485 after 140?
Why is it taking long for you. How many employees does your company have?

God know why it is taking too long.....
My company is a public company and it has over 1000 employees easily.....
I applied I-140 and witht he 140 receipt I applied the rest.

We filed AP,EAD and 485 with the I-140 receipt (ND for I-140 Dec 18th) on jan 18th.With what I am seeing, people who have filed separately get their I-140 approved faster.Correct me if I am wrong.

Thank for your advice, the problem is my attorney is a pain if i ask her to call the BCIS and enquire about my case she sends me the number of BCIS and asks me to call the BCIS which is again some one has to have real good luck that day to get some answers, so all i need to do is sit and wait until the BCIS showers some sympathy and gets rid of my application,

Just think how the lawyers are taking advantage of people like us take the money and just forget about everything

The attorneys will become like the BCIS one day i think,

pchandr u'r not just the only one who has had problem with their lawyers I think most of us are on the same boat and furthermore we can't even say anything to these *&&##$. All the best dude.

Just saw the online update. I-140 is approved on 25th March.Waited for 12 years for this day.

03-XXX
Here 03 is the year, next 3 digits give you the day number or something like that, but the applications are "usually" processed according to their serical numbers. For Example the recent approval is for user kp_123, (I'm copy pasting that post from Page 4)

ND 12/12/02

Fingerprints done 01/31/03
I140 approved 03/11/03
EAD approved 03/12/03, received card 03/21/03

Please I need your advice.

My I-140 got approved. (Finally !!!!). But I got laid off few days before my I-140 approval. I not yet received my EAD. I already have an desi employer who is ready to file for my H1. Guys please give advice or your experiences this kind of problem.

Its very unfortunate to see that you are still waiting while it has
been taking just about 3-4 months for normal processing.

Any specific reason why your 140 is still pending? Was there
any RFE? Considering that it has been longer than the normal
processing time, your attorney probably has already spoken
to INS. What did they say?

I was refering to people from this forum. For example Shashi , (waiting since may)you , snehanjali ( march)and a few others.
Nobody knows why they are waiting though!!!!!!!!!!!

It is taking more than normal.Your attorney has to talk to INS to find out what is happening.Keep us updated of any progress.
