November - Visa Revalidation Tracking

that's good news

I hope the queue gets smaller as we move from october to december. 75 days would be nice. Mine was (re) sent on dec 3, and need to travel on march 1.
 
govt. offices closed

We had heavy snowfall on monday and today we have blizzard in DC. I herd all the govt. offices are closed and this is the reason for the delay. People may avoid offices tomorrow because there will be lot of snow. Hope everything comes back to normalcy and we get our passport ASAP.

filing process

Hi,
I am going to apply for my revalidation soon. Other than what I can find on the Department of State's website, is there anything else I need to keep in mind. This is the list provided on their website, did any of you need to do anything else?

1.comprehensive letter from the principal alien’s emp
2.The original or a photocopy of your current, valid Form I-797, Notice of Action
3.Nonimmigrant Visa Application, Form DS-156 (I dont need the 157 since I'm a female)
4.One photograph stapled or glued to the DS-156 in the designated space, which meets the nonimmigrant photograph requirements
5.Passport
6.The original or a certified copy of Form I-94, Arrival-Departure Record
7.The original or a photocopy of your current, valid Form I-797
8.Visa issuance reciprocity fee, (since I am from India)

Any guidance/advice would be really helpful.

Nice updates.. wish I had seen this before so that I would have planned my India trip for next month instead of Feb.... Oh well...

Did anyone here use the DS156 form that generated a BARCODE?

tj_jayson, did you use that form?

I use the new form that has a space for the barcode, however I did not be able to generate the barcode at that time.

I send out my application on 11/24/03, and SL got it on 11/26/03. However, I was told that my application has not bee loaded into their system.

I do not know if this is because of the barcode, I am very worried now.:mad: :(

Not able to get Washington DC Date

Guys,

I have tried a few times (including today) to find out my Washington DC Date. As usual I get a reply that DC date will be approximately 1 month after the SL date.

They never ask for lastname, pp # etc and refuse to answer any questions.

How can we ever know about our Washington DC recd. dates?

Pashwin, You have mentioned about the DOS currently processing Nov 19, 20 DC received dates.

Where can we find this kind of information. Is there any phone numbers or website available where they keep track of these kind of thing?

I'm pretty anxious as the days get by :)

Thats based on approvals in october forum. From what i know DC is not providing any information over the phone nowadays.
